Holding the president and the government accountable is very much in order 👏. We should however understand how the system of the government works. Some of the things being directed to the president are completely not on his docket..the president doesn't increase salaries for any civil servants, there is a constitutional body that is independent to deal with that, look for them or best ask your member of parliament why they aren't doing oversight. It's not true when you say the president killed demonstrators...the police service is under the IG, another independent body, the president can't order them..there's is a body that investigates police misconduct called IPOA, those are the people you should be holding accountable as to who killed these protesters. The assumption is those killed were peaceful, not looting, destroying properties, fighting the police or committing other kinds of criminalities..our constitution grants rights to protest, picket, demonstrate etc, it doesn't give any platform to loot, destroy infrastructure, burn institutions, mug people, hinder peoples freedom to do business and the like..if groups of goons infiltrated peaceful demonstrations, why did the Gen Zs who were the majority at least be seen stopping them? Why must the demonstrations all take place at the CBD? Why not go to Kamukunji, Uhuru park or Uhuru gardens like today, call press and voice out your concerns, then go home, the way developed nations do?I haven't heard anyone say that destruction of property, beating up people, stealing from innocent passers-by, destroying cars of individual citizens is wrong. Everyone is in agreement that the government needs to do better, we all need to be within the parameters of our constitution in whatever we are doing. We cannot and will not build the country to where we want to be by destroying what we have..
