Prison is a place where hundreds, if not thousands, of prisoners are housed, with strict rules and punishments for breaking those rules. Where a prisoner can be sentenced to spend many years. The place you suggest is a small set of cells in a police station, or a sheriff's office, or highway patrol office. Time spent in these establishments is usually limited to time before sentencing.

With the ruling that a sitting president has total immunity for acts that are presidential acts, why can there be not be a ruling that a presidential CANDIDATE would be disqualified for illegal acts in the effort to become president “earning the right” to have total immunity as an elected president.

If government requires things getting done then obstruction is not academic. There needs to be greater penalties to those that interfere. Often these are just disruptions in the gallery but J6 and civil unrest that creates mayhem and hardship for first responders and even people living their life. Protest politely and don't obstruct others or the government. Manners make you nice to know.
