I believe that deep down Dwight enjoys this kind of relationship with Jim. As if they were kind of brothers and making relentless pranks to each other.
You might be right. It seems like he kind of had to be a father figure to his cousins, so maybe the prank war with Jim is satisfying the inner child in him

@@awkwardlyextroverted9435 Dwight had some kind of standing aid / stick under his pants and actually leaning on it instead of just standing by himself. Jim saw that and since he knew that he could not react properly while using that aid he pushed him.
Dwight has respect for Jim in a weird way. Like, he knows he's smart and can do pretty good, just also knows Jim doesn't give his full potential. Everyone else he feels are giving as much as they can and just aren't giving enough.

@@moody7650 FDR, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd President. President during WWII. He is commonly listed among the top 3 Presidents in American history for his leadership during the Great Depression and WWII and sweeping reform that helped tens of millions.
He was in a wheelchair because of Polio and was unable to walk, hence Dwight's quote.
@@maeson676 FDR actually had Guillan Barre Syndrome not polio, but they are quite similar and during his lifetime everyone who knew assumed polio.

There's some truth to this. You're more effective at certain tasks when standing. When I was in my early 20's I was a temp and tasked with sorting 'defect' and 'functional' plastic caps for some electronics(around fist sized and hollow). The employee they had doing this was sitting on a low stool with 3 plastic bags in front of him, unsorted, functional and defective. I used that method for a bit, but wasn't satisfied. I asked the manager if I could move things around so I was standing at one of the larger tables, which was no problem. I changed the procedure to putting as many on the table as possible and then placing 2 bags at the end they went in. The procedure became 6 times faster doing this. I had to sort somewhere around 400k units.

He was struck with polio in the early 1920s and spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair (except for some public appearances: he could stand, but not really walk), yet he was able to be President for a record 12 years, during some of the most challenging times in the history of the country, and always with an optimistic attitude.
Like him or not, he was one of the most influential politicians of the previous century.
