This has to be one of the best toolbox tours/reviews I’ve seen. It’s all about real life working with tools that are obviously used. It was more "This is how I work." than "This is what I've got."
Your daughter/sister/niece/random child from down the road is beautiful.

The john deere box is made by montezuma. Montezuma is not a knock off.

I’m buying one because of your video. Looking to use it in the back of my pickup so I’m glad the tailgate doesn’t interfere. I farm up on the Hiline, 406.

Cool! I have heard that the Montezuma is identical and sometimes a little cheaper. Thanks for watching!

Is it flush against the tailgate or how many inches of clearance do you need? I’m mounting it on my CM flatbed on the passenger side all the way towards the headache rack and don’t want to cut off the angled support metal. It’ll be flush with my diesel tank tool box combo and my ice chest is on the driver side.

Nice real world review. Hoping to get one myself soon. You ever have problems if you go down a rough road or pasture with it? Curious how secure it keeps everything.

If it's really rough the box might pop out of the plywood, nothing too serious. And occasionally a wrench will fall off. Really tiny sockets will pop off too but this only really happens when you're driving so fast across the pasture that your head is hitting the headliner as you bounce! haha

    Nice video.
The box concept is good, but the exexution in mfg. is poor. It has been my experience with my Montezuma triangle toolbox that the socket peg spacing is not wide enough for most socket sets. I have tried 1/2” drive and 3/8” drive sockets made by Snap-On, Mac, Matco, S-K, & Craftsman. In both impact and chrome versions. I rarely can put a whole set in a row without having to skip pegs due to improper peg spacing. When double checking the tolbox after a job it always looks like I’m missing some sockets or wrenches. I have to pull them off the pegs to check if the sizes are sequential. If you carry ratcheting box wrenches those pegs too are too close for those box ends and you again have to skip pegs. Better R&D could have been done on the Montezuma box in my opinion. I would not recommend a triangle box for this reason.

Thanks for the comment, I have seen several variations on this style of box. On mine I have a set of snap-on 1/2" impact sockets on top that are spaced perfectly for the whole set. My other sockets are a bit of mix of different things and in a couple places I have had to skip a peg bur wasn't a big deal. I don't have any ratcheting wrenches (would love some) but I can see where that would be a problem. But with regular wrenches mine is spaced fine. I really should make a follow up video to show exactly what I have and how it fits. They're certainly not perfect, but nothing is. Works great for me and my needs though!
