hmm, the way that surges and won't idle low, I'd be very much not surprised if there was an air leak on the intake. anyway, glad to see a new video! I enjoyed it much!
If you haven’t already, you should check the grease level in the gearbox and pack it if it’s dry. I got one of these really old Tecumseh TCII Troy Bilt mini tillers from my late grandpa to restore and checked the gearbox and found that it was dry and would make a very loud “grinding” sound when under load. I checked the gearbox and found it was dry, so I put new grease in and now it runs far better. Also, use ethanol free gas in the highest possible octane you can find, good quality 2 stroke oil, and add stabilizer. This thing will run forever if taken care of.
I have not checked the gearbox, it was stiff initially. But no grinding. I will check that, thanks! I always run no ethanol on out place. Most everything around here doesn’t like ethanol at all.

and thus is the answer to getting any two-stroke back up and running: seven trillion pulls.
But it fired on the second pull initially!
@@ExcellenceInAgriculture oh, they always do... they get your hopes up, only to crush them later...
