Oh, the nostalgia I feel for the strange summer of 2020. I watched this (and listened to LMP in general) a lot- this was kind of when The Owl House really took off, and when I was starting to wish the fandom would care about something besides Lumity (no Hunter yet). Remember when people would recite this in comments sections, and make tons of animatics, and everyone’s pfp was just Amity blushing? It feels like so long ago, like a blip that ended as soon as it began, but this has meant so much to so many people! The way people view media changes and evolves, but the artifacts of other phases are preserved for eternity.

It’s wild how influential this animatic ended up being. Joriah Kwamé is developing a whole original Little Miss Perfect musical now AND he got hired by Musical Theatre International and Dreamworks to write the musical adaptation of one of their films (we don’t know which one yet.) I don’t want to say he completely has the Owl House fandom to thank for his success because his talent is his own, but it’s hard to deny how many people wouldn’t have found this song were it not for the animatic.

Such a song, completely covers the idea of self imposed standards when perfections is what you’re praised for. While I can’t really relate to the whole sexuality thing this really does just make the idea of perfection so much sadder and the animation only helps to highlight the message. Amazing.

Beautiful song and animatic ❤️. I understand the pressures of being the good kid and how you’re expected to do everything good and not mess anything up. Even something uncontrollable like this, honestly, Amity is the perfect choice for this, though she never struggled with her sexuality Amity was a Little Miss Perfect in a way, a Goody Two Shoes if you will. I’m very happy with my life but I would’ve probably fallen into this same position if the people in my class and school weren’t amazing people like they were. I love how this shows the reputation struggle your always put in, even with my good situation I still had to make sure I didn’t do anything stupid in front of my classmates, in fear of being made fun of. If I were to kiss a man and someone saw it would be an uproar, and my reputation would fall into the dumps, nobody’s homophobic they just think it’s weird, it’s… odd. Also the internal struggle is relatable, honestly my brain is always feuding with itself, any sort of things really. Beautiful song and animatic ❤️. I understand the pressures of being the good kid and how you’re expected to do everything good and not mess anything up. Even something uncontrollable like this, honestly, Amity is the perfect choice for this, though she never struggled with her sexuality Amity was a Little Miss Perfect in a way, a Goody Two Shoes if you will. I’m very happy with my life but I would’ve probably fallen into this same position if the people in my class and school weren’t amazing people like they were. I love how this shows the reputation struggle your always put in, even with my good situation I still had to make sure I didn’t do anything stupid in front of my classmates, in fear of being made fun of. If I were to kiss a man and someone saw it would be an uproar, and my reputation would fall into the dumps, nobody’s homophobic they just think it’s weird, it’s… odd. Also the internal struggle is relatable, honestly my brain is always feuding with itself, any sort of things really. What to say during the speech coming up, the answer to problems that come up during class, to do something that’s rule breaking or not do it, or just even what to say in a conversation. The song is beautiful and a total lgbt icon. Anyways glhf with life and cya ❤️

Does anyone else think after watching this, they hate Odalia even more and think she’s more of an a-hole than you thought she was. It hits hard. It almost feels like the voice in Amity’s head at 2:03 is pretty much straight up her verbally forcing her to be this way.
