Kind of ironic seeing Ice King, the guy who kidnaps princesses for a living, help someone get out of a toxic relationship. Even after 1000 years, there's still a little bit of Simon left in his head.
I love the Ice King so much in "The Party's Over", he may be insane, but he still has some of his Emotional Maturity, Empathy, and Righteous Heart from back when he was Simon creep through. I also love that he keeps in contact with the "Island Lady" after this episode.
Fun fact: to this day, Ice King/Simon has Island Lady’s contact in his phone

You can't just cut almost all of Mr. Fox's part of the episode, it's one of the best scenes in the whole show!
Fun fact: in case you didn't get it, the theme for the stories in 'Another Five More Short Graybles' is the five stages of grief:
Finn ACCEPTS the parcel from Jake (Acceptance)
PB DENIES Cinnamon Bun his flashlight (Denial)
Ice King BARGAINS with the Penguins to watch a movie (Bargaining)
Lemongrab is ANGRY his doll's head breaks (Anger)
And Mr Fox saw a DEPRESSION (Depression)
According to Cartoon Network, there might also be a secondary theme involving childcare. In the first one, Jake Jr. is Jake's daughter; in the second one, Princess Bubblegum is Cinnamon Bun's caretaker; in the third one, the penguins are the Ice King's (somewhat) loyal companions; in the fourth one, the Lemongrabs pretend that Lemon-Sweets is their son; and in the final one, Mr Fox is taking care of the ugly bugs.
Really preferred the previous way you used to edit reaction, would rather have image blurred/watermarked like before than segments of blank screen.
I like how most of the important cast know of ice kings tragic past so they seem a lot more lenient with him in these later episodes
The theme for "Another five more short graybles" is the five stages of grief, it starts with acceptance with Finn accepting a "delivery" from Jake, the denial from Cinnamon Bun being denied his night light, Ice King bargains with the penguins on what movie to watch, Lemongrab 1 becomes angry with Lemongrab 2 for breaking their doll, Mr. Fox probably is depressed but notably he talks about the "depression" in his bed and finally it comes back to Finn and Jake and thus back to acceptance

Another bunch of great episodes! I love s5ep23, because that's the episode in which we see both Jake's past and the unseen consequences it had on his children (at least on Jake Jr.). Exploring Jake's family dynamic has to be 1 of my favourite things in the show. Also, may I recommend Infinity Train and Ok KO Let's Be Heroes! to u? I know they r hard to find, but they r true gems.
What a bunch of a great episodes! s5ep21 is especially good, because it shows us a deeper cut into life and ideals of both Princess Bubblegum and her citizens. The whole concept of Bubblegum having admirers just screams that the Candy Kingdom (and maybe even PB) wants to be normal SO much, yet they just aren't. And maybe if PB accepted that abt herself and her Kingdom, it would make her life easier. But can she? Also, I love that u just accepted that PB's age is just undefined at this point. She defintely is not 18.
My favorite line that Tiffany has ever been said is “From the shadows of dream, the dog wakes to find its mangy tail flopping in the dust like a fish in a tree. That fish is me, Tiffany!”

Too much light can disrupt sleep cycles and prevent full deep sleep that kids need.
Also, it can be inconvenient or potentially even dangerous if it ends up developing into a panic response.
I'm not saying you have to be 100% fearless and thrive in the dark.
but teaching your children to at least tolerate it when they need to is more of a safety factor to me.
And that doesn't mean just turning off the light and being done with it.
Talk with them about it and work up to it, help them feel comfortable with the concept of it.
I myself simply couldn't stand nightlights when I was little. I had sleepovers where I had to pile up pillows or sleep far under covers to block as much light as I could because my friends needed light, not liked light, they NEEDED it or it would be a huge issue. And that was multiple friends well past the ages of 13.
I eventually just got eye masks for when I spent the night at their houses because the light would always keep me awake, and I would be tired the next day.

There are homeschoolers that never leave their homes and don't interact socially, but that's a pretty small minority. Most homeschoolers just don't like the school system, so they do homeschooling coops and learning centers and stuff, not to mention common curriculums. It's just as social as any other school, and homeschoolers are much, much better educated than public/private schoolers on average. Like, it's not even close. You'd be surprised how little of homeschooling takes place in the home.
Ofc there are potential issues. Lack of regulation means that it isn't consistent--some families might educate well and some might do it poorly. But my experience being homeschooled was pretty great, and it was astounding for me to see the difference when I went to college with mostly private schoolers--everyone was so much less intelligent/less mature than the people in my homeschooling social circles. There are lots of reasons why homeschooling CAN be an advantage, but I'm pretty sure the main one is that the education is tailored to the individual. I grew up struggling immensely with math, yet I was reading above a 12th grade reading level before 4th grade. My parents homeschooled me because they knew I needed to learn at my own pace, which was sometimes faster and sometimes slower than the norm.
What's funny is, even though they're statistically more educated, homeschoolers spend wayyy less time on school than public/private schoolers do. They have much more free time to have fun with friends too. When the education is tailored to your individual needs, you learn that much faster. Which means more time for a thriving social life.
I think intelligence is higher in homeschooling simply because critical thinking is prioritized more in homeschooling curriculums than in common core.
I think maturity is higher because homeschoolers spend more time around adults. I had just as much of a social life with people my own age as public/private schoolers, but I also had plenty of adult friends as a kid. I couldn't believe how nervous the young adults in my college were around people of other ages. Age segregation is a wild concept--being encouraged to socialize almost entirely among people the exact same age as you is awful when it comes to social maturity, and makes navigating life after school/college so much harder.
Some people say homeschooling is dangerous and shouldn't be allowed because it gives too much freedom to parents to screw up their kids' futures. I don't fully disagree--I personally would love to see a mandatory public school system, but only if it improves DRASTICALLY from where it is now. What I'm describing is the best case scenario. When you think of the homeschooling stereotypes--ill-adjusted, brainwashed, uneducated young adults who have never left their house--there ARE people like that. So homeschooling IS dangerous. But it should be noted that those people are the minority, at least in the U.S.
My biggest criticism is actually the lack of regulation of curriculum material. Homeschoolers like to criticize common core for brainwashing kids, noting all it's flaws. They aren't wrong, but they are, at least in my experience, doing the same thing. For example, I grew up being told the plethora of reasons why the earth was young and evolution was a lie. Christianity was deeply interwoven with my education. Now, as an atheist who is fully aware that evolution is indisputably accurate, I recognize that my education failed me in that regard. HOWEVER, my education ALSO taught me critical thinking, encouraging me to think for myself, unlike private/public schools. So it wasn't fully 'brainwashing,' and it backfired anyway, in a good way.
I'm not spewing all the things I've heard growing up about how public school is bad and homeschooling is good. I'm using real statistics I've researched in college and explaining my own observations, including my disappointment at meeting the other kids my age when going to a top college and also getting some retail jobs in highschool/college. But my experience doesn't apply to everyone else ofc. I'm just one account.
But yeah, sorry for the essay. All that to say, homeschooling is a complex issue, and most homeschoolers have at least as good a social life as public/private schoolers. Since homeschoolers tend to be more mature, mine was much better due to being homeschooled.

I have a night light too I I used it when I was in Dalton I don't see the big deal of not having or having a night light because our house is pretty big and some people can't see at night besides I don't think it's a big deal if people didn't want us to have night lights they would have never made them in the first place so I don't think it should matter and I think people should do what makes them feel comfortable that's how I see it and I know they're going to be some people that disagree with me but that's my opinion some people who ever use night light it's your choice if you want to use it or not

5:30 I will not take this homeschool slander. Stop perpetuating negative stereotypes. There are large homeschool networks where kids get plenty of social interaction. This is an outdated and damaging stereotype to state.
(If you want to go after a group, go after the unschoolers or the uber religous homeschoolers. They give the rest of us a bad name)
