Girl…😭🫶🏼 Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable! I am sure there are people watching who really need to hear that. ❤❤❤ So thankful that this book was helpful and healing for you!!!
Girl, I'm crying for you over here. Little Jordan should never have had to go through such hardship, but thank you for sharing and speaking light on this topic. You are so brave!
❤❤ Literally so thankful for your boldness to speak out. You're literally my hero, friend. The strength you walk with today after all that you've been through is an inspiration. I love you.
I'm so sorry for what you had to endure as a child. You're so incredibly strong for talking about it and encouraging others to come forward. Sending lots of love to you!
I DNF-ed Funny Story. I have enjoyed a lot of Emily Henry books. Beach Read was my favorite as well. But this one just wasn’t for me. My favorite book from April was The Wishing Game. As someone who has loved books since I was a kid, this book hit me so hard. Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. I’m so sorry you had to endure such horrible experiences. My heart breaks for you.🤗
Okay I know it’s weird but I’m glad to feel less alone since you didn’t like Funny Story either! 😂 I got the Wishing Game for my bday so hopefully I love it too! & thank you for the kind words. My life has turned out beautiful despite the past pain. I can only be thankful for that & hope to help others who’ve had less support
Jordan❤Sister. Thank you for sharing your story. Love you friend. I’m glad that book was healing. No apologies needed girl, such a well needed conversation. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks for share your reads with us, I discovered some wonderful books watching your videos!! I'm sorry for what you went through, you are a very strong woman❤️❤️
Wow, you are so brave to talk about your experience, especially in a public space. But you are so right that it is a very important issue that needs to be talked about. There is so much evil in this fallen world and my heart breaks that it's often directed at our most vulnerable, our children. As someone who works with children, I am very aware of this reality, particularly that perpetrators are usually someone the child knows, and it is something I am aware of as a mother myself. I can't imagine what you've been through, including going through court and the hurt of unjustly lost relationships. I pray that God would give you comfort and continued healing, and that your story will help others ❤
As always, great video. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate you talking about your abuse. I was sexually, physically and mentally abused through age 16. I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m 65 and recently learned I had repressed memories which have affected my health. Take care of yourself, especially during this move v
Sending you a big hug. I’m so sorry you endured what you did. No one deserves that kind of treatment. I hope you continue to find healing and joy in life ♥️
Just for the Summer was my favorite book in April. I’m so sorry to learn of your experience in childhood. My event started at puberty. My abuser was a family member. Decades later my therapist helped me understand that my silence was controlled by being convinced it was all my fault and if I told anyone my wonderful step-dad would kill my abuser and my step-dad would go to jail. These abusers are wickedly smart and know how to control their young victims. Bravo to you for speaking out. Hopefully, your story will help others seek help. I was in my 50’s before I reached out to a therapist. It was really hard to seek out therapy, but it has improved my life so much. I wish you well. I am proud of how you went public with your story. I wish I’d been brave enough to tell the tale when I was your age. Lesson learned, it is never too late to heal from this abuse and to grow to love the best things about our lives and that we are worth the best things life can bring to us. It doesn’t magically erase our experience, but knowledge can increase our self-love and self-care. You have all my respect and support. ❤
Sending you the biggest hug! I am sorry you had to experience something so awful too. It’s heartbreaking how common it is. But I’m glad, no matter how long it took, that you have found therapy and healing. I hope you continue to overcome it because I know it can sometimes sneak up and hurt all over again. 💕💕 Thank you for the transparent and heartfelt response
Thank you for your vulnerability ❤ I’m so sorry! I love that you shared this friend 🫶🏻I haven’t personally went through that but I’ve had close family & friends experience horrible things in childhood & it’s so important to speak out against it. So thank you for sharing, so people feel like they are not alone ❤
So sorry to hear what you went through as a child, you are so sweet and so brave to share it and encourage others to speak up, and for raising awareness all throughout… Thank you for sharing ❤ Also, I love the book recommendations, I definitely have the Abby Jimenez book on my wishlist, hope to get to it soon.
You are so strong! 💕 Thank you for using your voice to share something that is so difficult to speak of. You are such a wonderful person, and your voice is empowering for others!! 🫶🏻
I just got Funny Story yesterday and I'm very excited to read it and to find out if I'm gonna like it😅 I've only read Happy Place by Emily Henry so I can't wait to read her other books☺️
@@Jordan_elaine I know 😅 I read them in german and they've started to translate them like 2 years ago so I can only buy them one by one when they get out 😅
On another note, I didn't have the best of luck with my picks in April so I'm hoping May will be better. I just added Girl Abroad to my tbr cause a good travel story sounds good for the summer
I applaud you for sharing your personal story and my heart goes out to you... My only thing is that I prefer booktubers not tell the trigger warnings in books... It can be a bit of a spoiler... I prefer booktubers just say "Check the Trigger Warnings" so people who have triggers can check 🤷🏻♂ I'm currently reading the Boys of Tommen series and I don't know if that trigger is mentioned right away in the book or if it's something that comes out later
Girl…😭🫶🏼 Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable! I am sure there are people watching who really need to hear that. ❤❤❤ So thankful that this book was helpful and healing for you!!!
The cover of girl abroad is so flipping cute!!!!
