    Hey dude, I appreciate the personable/chill videos on this channel. I've been getting tired of the "best/easiest/viral/etc *insert food* you'll ever make!" style videos that many of the other food channels are putting out as of the last few months. Keep up the good work.

    I don’t really comment here but just wanted to say I really appreciate the live, unedited feel of these videos. I personally think the short, TikTok/Reel style cooking videos are more for entertainment and aren’t great ways to learn how to cook. It’s very helpful watching what happens every step of the way

    Really loving this style of video, man! I love the deep dives, but I was a bit bummed when I initially thought your recipe videos were going away. Videos like these have helped make me more confident to try new things and combos in the kitchen.

    I think the best tip I’ve learned is the measuring via subtraction instead of getting out another container. 10/10

    Ethan, while watching this video, I suddenly realised how an Indian dish (a 'chaat', to be more accurate) resembles nachos. Have you heard of 'Papdi chaat'? Deep-fried flour tortillas or 'papdi' (round in shape) are placed at the bottom. The toppings are various layers of veggies, such as boiled potatoes, onions, diced green chillies and tomatoes, sev (deep-fried crunchy noodles made of gram flour, very crispy and goes into all sorts of 'chaats'), boiled black gram or chickpeas, chopped coriander leaves, chaat masala and finally 2/3 types of chutneys or sauces (one tamarind and one pudina, to be exact) and yoghurt. I find it amazing how foods from different cultures can use the same techniques and textures to create dishes that are very similar to each other!

    Nachos are often overlooked on a diet, but it's really easy to control the number of chips you have and therefore control carbs/calories. You also get a large plate of food that psychologically makes you think you're eating more food than you would if you ate multiple tacos on flour tortillas. Thanks for sharing this kind of video!

    Like the tip in this recipe mentions, I see a lot of recipes substitute greek yogurt for mayo or sour cream to get more protein and less fat. Is this a good option for any recipe? Or are there situations where this isn't a good option or some way you might need to compensate to not completely throw off a recipe?

    I hope this doesn't come off as know-it-all or annoying but I like to be corrected when I pronounce things incorrectly.

    Hello Ethan, love the content, but I saw stuff in your video which makes me think: did you really have to ‘wipe’ your hands on the back of your shorts? Also you opened a bag of lettuce and sliced into it without washing it first(I’ve noticed this on the other channel as well…). Apart from these things I really appreciate that you created another channel just for food😋

      People need to get more creative with how to add more veggies to their diets, not less. This is doubly true for a healthier/sustainable version like this, and not the (should be) rare loaded calorie bomb.

      Yes lettuce, but only after the nachos are removed from the heat. Cooked lettuce is bleh.

    • @blainebickle1178
      @blainebickle1178 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SheenaMalfoy yeah, best to put the lettuce on at the very very end to keep it fresh and crisp. But also, lettuce cooked in fried rice is surprisingly good.
