So Belmo’s my favorite bowler. EJ was my favorite when I first started bowling about 6 years ago. Something about this match felt special to say the least. Belmo’s a stoic guy, who doesn’t stop working til the job’s done. When he doubled in the 10th and let his emotions out before he finished striking, it made me feel like EJ was the first one to stand up to him and his legacy in a long time. EJ seemed to have this newfound confidence this season, and it might’ve been the best season we’ve ever seen.
Best match ever? Idk, I haven’t watched everything enough. My favorite match? Probably. It really was a culmination of everything that makes bowling and these players great.
Awesome video, well made. I really enjoyed.
Belmo also had five titles last season. EJ had five this season. I realize that EJ led the field in every major, but both seasons were INCREDIBLY impressive.
Bro said "stoic" 😂😂😂
@@arcrius4 lmao yea he is thats part of the reason he's the best
@@christopherkubelka6824Belmont is not stoic at all lol, he’s up there talking to the ball while it’s going down the lane and celebrating strikes like everyone else. You’re glazing him hard bud
@@hitokiriibattousaii sorry but we must have different definitions of stoicism. Belmo is known for being stoic, a lot of bowlers are to be fair. That’s how you have to be to be good at the game.
Even if you're a big Belmo fan, this was incredible. Belmo is also happy to see EJ win, so that's awesome too.
Yeah. Belmo told EJ after, “that was epic, that was epic”. Because, it was!
Belmo is just a cool dude
I'm a big Belmo fan but Tackett is something special too and is remarkable.
im definitely a big belmo fan, he is my #4 favorite bowler ever and i just really wanted him to win this one but its good for tackett to win, but the 5 show drought that he is going on now isnt good but he just needs to rest up, its honestly insane that tackett only has 4 majors but hey he is young, he will definitely get more and i just really want belmo to get #16 or #17 then retire. but we will see
That is such a great way to tell a history... Man i dont know a thing about bowling but the storyteeling routine was perfect, loved each second. Congrats by the mastery and keep no going.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Belmo Major Wins is like Brady with 8 Superbowl Rings
Except belmo has more and a major is harder than a superbowl
@@abyss9234 Superbowl is harder imo
@shaolinm5540 its your opinion. However for me brady has an entire team to help him win superbowls. Belmo has himself and one wrong arm movement and he loses. He doesnt get 4 downs to make something happen
Brady has 7 rings.
Solid analogy
I have never gotten chills from a bowling video till now. Your setup on this historic match was incredible. Great job man and I’m definitely going to be sticking around for more video.
Wow, thank you!
First time I saw Tackett on TV against Belmo, I knew he'd be something special on the Tour. EJ hasn't let me down! The rivalry him and Belmo have is definitely a fun one, especially given each of them have so much respect for one another. In my honest opinion, they should be doubles partners. I'm not sure any other pairing could touch them. Excellent video and storytelling!
This was a great video. I love to see EJ win. Hoping to see him take player of the year again in 2024.
I cannot describe how incredible my first time attending a PBA event was. Seeing EJ win, it made him become my bowling idol. I have a video on my channel if you want to see it!
I watched it! You had a great angle
My first event was in 1987. Parker Bohn's first title. We HATED lefties!!! But Parker was just so smooooooth he became a favorite right away.
I can’t believe how much Belmo has changed the game
Insanely well done video. Loved it
Bowling is such a fun sport! I’m happy to be a part of it! I have nothing but the highest level of respect for the skills these professionals have!
It's about time EJ got a big time
PBA major. Congrats EJ. You've earned it man.
Boom! Great season EJ!
A remarkable season
This is truly incredible work. Well done!
Thank you very much!
That was An amazing recap
Awesome Vid, two of the greatest going at it, crazy revs from EJ
Excellent work here! Very well documented 👍
This is why these two are my favorite bowlers.
Great video! thanks for sharing
it was so cool of EJ to bowl in this charity event,, its amazing the great things people do for the special olympics.
Thank you for making this. Bowling needs some casual eyes and these 20 minute TH-cam videos that are well edited and give background can really help the future of the sport.
That’s awesome! Wish i had more time to make more. But i do have some ideas
Great Bowling Love U Guys But It’s EJays. This Time. And I Love It. Pete sr Siny
EJ is a beast when he’s on and that’s most of the time.
Love your passion for bowling man
This is one of the coolest videos i have seen! Kudos! I LOVE watching bowling. I dont even play it, but i remember a few years ago i watched weber vs belmonte in the us open. I wondered what made their sport much different and then i started learning about oil patterns and styles etc...yah bowling is awesome and i love watching it. Tackett is one of my favorites for sure, but i also love belmonte. And...i love weber too 😂 Please make more vids like this, and also, please explain a little more about the patterns because i think a lot of people really don't understand the difficulty that these guys face.
Thanks for the kind words! I’m currently working on a project where i do go in depth about the patterns.
The amount of work and effort to put this together was amazing!! Very Good Quality!! Great editing and narrator.
Thank you so much! I should be making some more soon
This was amazing. Thanks!!
The greatest match of all time would be any match that Walter Ray beat Pete Weber!! And he fortunately did that often.
Haha
This deserve 1mil view minimum
I agree. But bowling is so low tier right now... swept aside, it's frustrating. Cornhole gets more TV time. And "strings" family fun centers are going to turn it into a carnival game. (Just a grumpy old man's opinion)
@@MrMice... I agree with this statement. Ever since USBC legalized string-pin bowling, I have been praying that my local alley doesn't add them. Just like they said to Belmo when he was starting out, I'm going to say the same with string-pins. It's a travesty to the sport. I guess you just have to wait for the right time when the PBA tour is active for it to get higher up in the ranks.
Bowling needs to be back on mainstream TV. These matches are incredible.
Awesome video!!
🔥🔥vid bro
I bowl with Motive equipment too so I love it when Tackett does well
Uhhhh guys? You really approved this for the video thumbnail? You ok?
This is a great video, very well executed
Both Ej and belmo are great and fun to watch
Nice video bro bowling is so awesome
Bowling is such an underrated sport
Love your beat drop in sync with the ball at 8:54.
EJ Tacket is really my Idol.
I still think the best match ever has to be Webber vs Fagan in the US Open where an aging Pete bowled about the best game imaginable given the challenging conditions and immense pressure, to beat a much more youthful Mike Fagan by one pin in dramatic last shot fashion, to surpass his dad as the all time US Open winner and belt out the iconic “who do you think you are, I am” line. Still, this is a close second.
Yes, that match came to my mind too. As exciting as the match was, it seemed to be made even more so with Pete struggling with internal demons and someone distracting him in the audience. The stress was written on his face like a pressure cooker as he focused on his game until he threw the clutch strike for the win and the pressure release with the iconic, “Who do you think you are? I am!”.
Both are incredible bowlers! In my view Belmonte will go down in history as the greatest bowler of all time, EJ Tackett is closely following his footsteps!
There’s definitely a great debate over the GOAT. Belmo has a great case building
EJ rocks!!!
You deserve so many more subs. This is high quality content. Youve earned a sub!
So awesome to hear! Thank you!
Top 2 for a long time now. Belmo and EJ is like the Lebron and curry of bowling. And Simonsen is Giannis, still young and upcoming.
Good analogy!
Belmo is the GOAT, so yeah, incredible analogy.
That was an excellent video.
Thank you very much!
Belmo is on another level
Can we just take a moment to soak in the fact that Belmonte was seeded 4th after a 250 average AND 330 bonus pins. I mean, WHAT?!
Loved this video, awesome work on it! I know I'm a bit late, my algorithm only just showed me this. 😎
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent! Remember, the original has a shorter, quicker back motion.
More concise. But yeah, this definitely works for you!
Nice work on this.
Thank you!
great story great vid. Ill always be partial to Mike Aulby and Parker Bohn. seemed like for years they were always facing each other.
What do you think was their greatest matchup?
@@TH-camBowlersTour got not idea which tournament but they both struck a bunch and had splits. Had the gold pins too.
Lucky to seem two legend guys🎉
This video was very well made
Thank you! I wanna make more like this
@@TH-camBowlersTour you should, i would watch all of them
Belmo winning a major is as surprising as Uncle Tony ordering the meat balls again tonight
Haha
Dude great movie. Thought you were overselling the greatest match. This was epic stuff.
Thank you! It truly was epic!
Two of the best. You know what, they're al good. If you make the PBA list, you're good!!
Still two great bowlers!
I really like the background music from 5:31 to 6:08. Anyone got any idea of what it could be?
that last shot was near perfect to the ideal line 😱😱
It was a tad light but in a good way. Hit em light, watch em fight! That definitely scores higher w/ more pin action. Ideal line is a bit deeper in the pocket so you can miss both ways (left and right) a bit and still strike. If you do miss, you definitely want to go light vs. going high (through the nose).
Good video. May be a rivalry but I'm pretty sure they are also friends
I think so too!
Great video!
Not sure why the like count is hidden though.
Im honestly not sure either.
My dad bowled 2 handed back in 2001 well before belmo
I don't think anyone is claiming Belmo was the first to do it?? Maybe the best so far. But I remember people two handed bowling in the 90s at my old lanes.
I’m just glad I got to see the last gasp of old school bowling. Where during practice, during school hours, in 2007 my coach and the team would just smoke throughout, casually. I was 14 and free as an eagle, camel dangling from the lip. 😂. Luckily I quit long ago.
When you make another video like this, can you put subtiltles in spanish???
I don’t know how. But i can definitely try figure that out for next time!
2 kings in 1 match!
What green ball was EJ using in that last tournament?
Down goes Belmo ! Way to go EJ !!
Phenomenonal bowling by EJ
@@TH-camBowlersTour Yeah, it's always great when EJ beats Mr. Boom.
@@sawnose4775incorrect
@@jhamlin726 It's not always great? Why, yes it is!!
@@sawnose4775Are you one of those anti-two handed bowling weirdos? Belmo is the GOAT.
I would love to meet Jason
I think if Belmo would have switched to reactive sooner, he would have won. He didn't have a great look with urethane, but he stuck with it.
Not surprising ej's reve rate is high, have you seen his arm and that right fore arm? Freaking huge for his frame
I once thought the Aulby/Ozio match from Wichita in 1993 was the best of all time, UNTIL THIS ONE!!!!
The greatest match was Pete Weber vs. Walter Ray Williams Jr. during the 2002 PBA World Championship.
awasome
Are we gonna forget the super slam?
Woops! Definitely forgot about that one. Haha, good catch
Actually, now i realized why it wasn’t there. Because the super slam was after the World Championship.
Good observation!
Match actually starts at 15:00.
Great video - I was annoyed by the music overlay (except the last match, it was OK). I would much rather hear the announcers as they made the live commentations.
If you don’t like the music, i recommend checking out the PBA’s main channel. They post the full telecasts!
@@TH-camBowlersTour You get to choose the music. There is a reason the PBA's telecast uses more inspiring music and less thumping droll music. You are essentially telling me to go away. OK.
Yes, because i wanted to create something different than what was out there.
2:41 ここの確信歩き、カッコイイです
I want to see Robert Smith matches some more.
Oz Oz go go go😊
I'm a Belmo fan, he's the GOAT in my eyes. But, all this showed to me is EJ finally didn't choke being the #1 seed. He's so known for being the #1 seed and losing every time.
이제이타켓선수와 사진찍은게 벌써 오래되었네.~~
Obviously, Belmonte is exciting to watch. Ripping racks and scattering pins like it's nobodys business.
Tackett has been very succesful for a few years and is a seasoned professional. This year, as other years, he put together some titles and EARNED a while lot of money relating to professional bowling standards. Both of those players are very levelheaded and likeable.
As far as the best match ever is concerned, I don't believe that there is any way possible to ever have one UNTIL a two player, maybe more than two bowlers, match takes place in two or maybe more bowling centers AND encompasses a lot of games. For example, the 100 game matches that took place during what was the tournament called the All Star. In the 50's. Just my perspective. And my opinions. 😄😄
It's difficult to believe that Tackett is only 30 years of age here.
Imagine if he went strike 9 spare for a rolloff.
Imo, best match was 20129 belmo vs butturf and belmo winning 11th major but this defs goes up for one of the best!
Can’t lie though seeing Tacketts Dad mock Belmo at the end was a little crappy, I dont think Belmo ever does his boom to be a jerk just his way of celebrating a strike. Happy to see Tackett win though he bowled great and deserved it.
Wow, i didnt notice that! That is a little scummy
If EJ Tackett had a better spare game , he'd easily be on par with Jason Belmonte as far a major titles won and overall PBA events won...
Tackett has a great spare game. He just has some big misses.
@@TH-camBowlersTour no shit? Until he cleans it up he'll always be the the first loser.
I doubt it. Belmo has won FIFTEEN MAJORS. It's not just spares that separates Belmo from everyone else. He is an S tier bowler. Every aspect of his game has been perfected.
Belmonte is 2 HANDED BOWLER, amazing player but still a 2 handed bowler, he should play against a 2 handed bowler league, imo though.
No
Agreed two handed is cheating in this case EJ best true bowler
We call that exorcizing "demons"! Not today , Belmo!
Definitely
Belmo isn't a demon... He IS the GOAT, though!
Why the thumbnail look he’s checkin him out
At the pro level, isn't the pressure on players to not strike on every frame?
could’ve been a 4 minute video
Hahaha @ the thumbnail
That thumbnail is ayo
I'm sorry, but that suoer clam cup where he faced McCune was a typo. He was the #2 seed and Belmo was #1.
Nicee
Bro as someone who watched bowling in the late nineties early 2000’s I LOVED Belmonte but coming back and seeing everyone get called blankO just cause they have an O in their name makes me wanna puke
3:49 the ESPN headline lol.
Lol
This video is excellent, especially with the bowlers’ backgrounds leading up to the actual final match!
But what’s up with the background music. Bowling is not hip-hop, and the heavy bass is uber-annoying while trying to watch.
And as a side note, I find that same thing happening with TV programs and even TV commercials.
The straight telecasts might be better for you, instead of a video like mine.
@@TH-camBowlersTour I guess.
Your music is so loud and your commentary is so quiet.
