There is no speedcap while in air. The speed gets capped once you hit the ground.

didn't realize there's such a calculating science to the bhop, even though i kind of learned it intuitively. awesome to hear about, thanks for the share. Is there something to set in the console to allow for bhop/strafe, if you create a map?

Very nice video. It helped my a lot but it helped me to try to start to strafe to the left instead of starting to the right the right. I was more comfortable with strafeing to the right but i could land only 230´s. When I tried to start strafing to the left i hit a 254 lj after like 10 tries. Good video :)

Hey Launders, Thanks for the helpful video! How do you get your sync percentages and last jump distances to show on the screen? Is there a way I could do this in an offline map, for example when practicing on kz_bhop_lj? Thanks!
kz is definitely the hardest out of bhop kz and surf. I was able to pick up surf quickly bhop too. Even though it may be the most useful in game dont even bother with kz its just a bunch of failing the same jump 30,000 times in a row just to have some guy do it and then not stop bhoping. Honestly, just do it for the particle effects and the calming music.
The skill cap on surfing is way higher than on kz. You probably do something wrong if you fail the same jump over and over again. I started kz two days ago and I can long jump over >260 already (record is 264), which is enough for most low to mid tier kz maps. But surfing took me much longer to master and the tier 6 maps are fucking insane and impossible without years of practice.
DallasGreen123 kz is in game tho. If you have kz. you are probably really good at csgo. Cuz kz allows great movement control
i actually managed to jump 265 in 4 hours of playing kz i'm pretty happy

hey launders, i was once able to lj 252+ in 1.6 but i seem to have lost all my skills, now i can't even get 100% sync with 1 strafe, how is this even possible?? how do i fix my sync
What sync % would you say is good to aim for? (ofc 100%, but is 50 good? 60? 80? ) :)
I'm playing on a Macbook Air most of the time, and I end up getting like 20% sync on average. Am I just really really bad at strafing or does it have to do with delay? I'm pretty sure I'm strafing correctly because I can gain speed, but on KZ my sync is horrendous. And help?

No matter how hard I try I get around 30-35% max sync with 5 strafes long jump and I'm pretty sure I do my strafes with sync way over than 35%. Any advices?

launders, whenever i join your server it says file: [game]\materials/models\props\startkztimer.vmt does not match the server's file. I do not have this problem with any other kz servers..
I am a pro bhoper on css and csgo. I made several server wr's on bhop server. But after 5 yrs of bhopping I still can't manage to longjump. I thought it would be the same like strafing while bhopping but it's harder than it is. My sync is pretty good but 240 LJ not easy for me. Any advice for me ?

i can do some decent strafes in a row which i use to bhop and while doing this i easily hit 300+ speed. but after every 3 or 4 jumps i fk something up and my speed decreases to 230 or lower event though i think im not doing anything diffrent

i have played hns and kz for about 5 months and my record for longjunp is 282 with 10 strafes 89 sync Pre and nopre longjump 266 9 strafes :)

I'd say im an above average "kzer" i finish most maps in the top 100 out of 3000 people, but i just cant seem to grasp long jumping i can long jump anywhere from 245-262 which is my record, just wondering if anyone could give me any tips

I get like 7-11strafes ,with at least 60 sync 9 strafes is average with about 80sync my best lj no pre is 265 and with pre 280

you dont even have to strafe to make that jump... just run then jump/crouch

gregfox Try this *map* from the *Steam Workshop*. The silo jump is there and you just need to get the hang of it (landing on the *right side* of the *shorter pipe* ;) )

I basically practiced the silo jump for 2 days like 1 hour each day and now I make the jump like 9/10 times. Just keep jumping on this map untill you almost never fail it.
How FPS affect this?
it doesn't. Unless for some reason it drops below 30, but that's more a rig problem rather then strafing.

another tip, hold crouch the whole jump and not only at the end, it actually gives extra height (66 max instead of 55)
PROv2lEagle it slows you down while strafing and holds you back from doing wider strafes therefore having a lower max air velocity. So I wouldn't recommend it.

No. You need to use the sens settings that pro's use, otherwise it's hopeless. Haven't you seen Twitch chats and how everyone needs to know the streamers sens settings?
Nah seriously, I really don't think it matters what sens you use as long as it works for you. I'm on like 800 dpi and 0.8 sens or something and I can get 270s after a few hours and learning kz again from not playing since 1.6 days so I don't think your sens is going to matter as long as you are used to it.
