I remember very well a few years ago, if you did 500 league upgrades during tots, you'd get all of them pretty much. Last week I did 2500 player picks, 950 exchange packs, 600 league upgrades and every sbc pack and got vvd. Yes that is insane but he's the only player I got over 100k. If I didn't get him that would be insane. These days you can grind soooo much more than in the years before but they are unpackable. You put in hours and hours of menu grind just because you're afraid to miss out. This game has become a chore. Not fun.
I swear to God I came up against a team with first owner cold palmer saka vvd rice and frimpong all tots and the player was so shit but he was doing them raty little fucking overhead kicks and he beat me last minute with one of those I was so pissed man

You are right about the point that you have to treat your RTG like a job if you want to keep up with the other teams. I have to say tho that I realised last weekend that for me it's a pure mindset problem if I do bad in WL. I start a new rtg every year at the start of tots and I got my first rank 2 again after 3 months with an attack of evo luis diaz, ice joao felix and fs Olise because I didn't expect a good rank and actually had fun playing and beating god squads. On my main I got only 15 wins and it felt like I have to force myself to finish champs. I play so much worse if I have no fun, I get tunnel vision because 15 out of 20 games at least you play against the same 4321 meta playstyle anyway.

I just started an rtg, im in div 7 rn and my team is an all english promotion system team. But I wont even think about fut champs rn. its a 90 rated team too, i have all the epl young players and i get 8-0 in champs, but win in rivals.
I took a break after last year and came back a month ago and wow it's crazy. I was a 11 W consistent player now I can't even get to 9 wins because of my team and the crazy teams people have.
They also just majorly nerfed the rewards from objectives right as TOTS started, that’s just another slimy tactic to force people towards buying store packs
They need to fix 5 backs and gameplay cause every time you attack everyone is back defending there is no fun. Also This 4321 formation miss the old times when u can play any formation and it didn’t matter cause u can still win while using any formation. When ur team is worse, u can feel how insanely overpowering the opponents ai is and how fast they are. It’s not a coincidence. U can notice it the reverse way too when ur team is better than ur opponents.

Normally get eleven wins on fut champs, so far five games in one win four losses and all im facing is god squads and players who are higher skill levels then me and i cannot compete, also formation wise i can mirror the oppositions but my team dont run forward etc even with get in behind get in box etc on for my attackers and midfielders, also my opponents are getting so many bounce backs to there god squads feet i can go on, i turned off after the last match and want to go back on and finish, but mentally im done with it its for me ( an average player ) the games broken like broken im not spending money on packs never have never will do good luck to anybody who is still playing and struggling !

The game is a casino now. Cards now have a shelf life of 1- 2 weeks. If you are not living on the game you have to spend money or you fall behind. The game allows too many people who are not good at the game to appear so. Bottom line - FIFA/FC24 whatever you want to call it is done. This is now a money simulator

The gameplay this year has been worse than its ever been which is the most important part of the game for me, just like you.
