So Adam is a cold-war cryptanalyst working for the CIA. He really did have people spying on him to see if he figured out the code and the only ones who would've known how to find him was the movers, his CIA boss and his wife. He didn't trust his wife. That's why we get a flashback of him planting bugs around the house, slashing the tires so that she can't escape if it's true and of that recording of his voice about woman sparrows. He suspected his wife of being one of them. How else would they have known to set up in the location before Adam even decide to move there?
On the other hand, Adam finding that diary seem to have trigger his other persona/blackout. The mental illness runs in the Hyde family and he realized that he's related to them. The other Adam found the spies and kill them (we do see people hanging with the message of traitors) because he's the one capable of killing them without remorse. How he ends up in the asylum is unknown. I guess it differs in the options you pick, whether Adams accepts his nature or not and whatever choice he makes about his wife or the doctor (who's suspicious because in reality Adam is in the CIA and such work is always classified). Doctors don't have the clearance, nor shouldn't they be asking about it. Besides it doesn't relate to helping him get better. Idk...this certainly leaves things open for interpretation. Another possibility is that Adam lost it and made up the whole spying to cope with what the beast inside of him did to his wife.

His other persona is nicolas its true because at the end the doctor asks who am i talking to adam or nicolas now its been a long time since i olayed the game so i dont remember everything but his other persona is nicolas

Is this going the obvious direction it seems to be? i.e. Jekyll and Hyde.
Though I think Adam might not of been entirely crazy. The thing that made me question it was, Why would the doctor need to know about his work? How would that be relevant?
When I first saw the game's intro of the wife crying while tied to a chair, I was joking around with a "Heh, her husband Adam? If she's asking 'What have you done to him?', it would be some cool twist if the dude who's about to kill her IS her husband." Then, I went along with the happenings of the previous video, until Adam first started "waking up" in a different location from where he left off. Things started to connect when he came to in a well, with the headless sheriff's corpse handcuffed to his wrist. And from there, everything fell into place ---- how he loses track of time (thinking he was only gone for a few hrs, when his wife insisted it was 6 hours), playing spy games in the forest by himself (1/2 playing the good guy and 1/2 playing the other side), etc.
All in all, such an impressive indie game. I wasn't much of a fan where the usage of the quantum device was involved, but the puzzle-solving, the chases, and the story on both the past & present got me good. Thanks so much for playing this, and indeed, I was very much interested that I've watched the entire gameplay straight, LOL.
Lady was possibly saying she was in more immediate danger than nameless millions, or that he should be putting his family ahead of people who aren't in danger yet.
Wow this was beautifully done, and such a small team for such a great story AND great environments! Seriously, mad props to this team. The lighting was beautiful too.

It was clear to me that this is definitely related to Jekyll and Hyde. Come on guys, the Hyde's changed their name into Stevenson. As in Robert Stevenson? Author of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It's a hard read if you hate going through letters. But it's worth a good read!

Did anyone notice at 2:27:40 when he made it out of the car and the water that it wasn’t just any clover, it was a four leaf clover? Kinda like a sign that “he got lucky” or something maybe? Thought that was cool. I love all the little hidden messages all through out this, for an indie game, it’s phenomenal. It honestly seems like it’s made by a big company and is like a AAA GAME! 😮😁💮❤️

I really enjoyed this game! I loved the 70’s spy vibes. It’s not something that gets done often in games. Very cool and refreshing.
The place where he stabbed him at 2:32:48, isn’t the crotch, but the groin area, between the crotch and thigh. It’s one of the most deadly stab areas of the body, as there is an artery, called the femoral artery, that if slashed, you will bleed profusely and it’s very quick and easy to bleed out from. Like, extremely quick. The chances of getting help in time is rare. You must try to put pressure and stop the bleeding. Which is pretty hard to do for yourself, as you’ll lose consciousness pretty quickly either from the bleeding or shock. And In that time period the chances of surviving that are slim to none.
Even today it can be deadly, not to mention EXTREMELY painful. That was a calculated move, he went for that area on purpose. He wanted him to bleed out painfully. No matter what time period, if you slash an artery, you’re very likely to die if pressure isn’t applied and the artery isn’t fixed, if it’s fixable at all depending on how it’s cut. And in that time period they wouldn’t have known how or had the means or have been able to get him somewhere in time. Today you have a much better chance, but even still, your chances of surviving are much smaller than say being stabbed in the stomach. It’s a lot like slashing someone’s neck. They both have large artery’s that if severed, can be deadly.
And considering the fact that he stabbed all the way through him, with a large blade, looked like his machete which are extremely sharp, and the fact that he either lost consciousness or died quickly, means he most likely DID cut the femoral artery. 😬 it’s quite the ouchy-booboo. At least it wasn’t a slow death I guess? 😂

This game honestly has one of the best written and most emotive main characters I've ever seen.
Hey Gab and everyone, at 1:43:40, each of those dates are significant in some way or another. Look up “what happened in” and then put the date and you’ll see what I mean. Each one is a huge moment in history in different parts of the world. They aren’t random dates, they were picked specifically and it’s really fascinating!! 😁 for the last date, 961, it’s BC ;)
I love history it’s so freakin cool and this game is freaking amazing. The people who made it need to make tons more games, they know what they’re doin, and they’re doing it amazingly. So much time and thought was put into this. I love it so much. Great pick Gab!! You’re amazing as always!! ❤

I... don't think I get this. At the very start we see through the perspective of the spy, and a blade is clearly in Adam's head. Plus Emma is talking as if she didn't know about the Spy. I don't know, maybe I'm forgetting something, I have been watching these in parts, so it's more than likely. EDIT: But then she says that they're watching the house, and they won't let him kill her... sooo... ah, my head hurts. Really cool game though, just in general, especially so for an Indie team. Great work to the devs.
A good part in this gameplay vid here is Chapter 8: The hiding and the escape in the mines from the enemies. The running part here is so good and the attack from the ice ghosts also.
That felt like an amusement park ride and I loved it.

This game was suprisingly awesome. Only thing I wouldve changed is both the family's name and the game's name itself. I mean, at a certain point mid-game, one can clearly see where the ending is going. Altough I see what they were going for, I think that it kinda spoils the twist of the game, which is a pitty.
I was holding a dog toy when Return of "Pajama dude" made me jump! Instead of an AH! it came out a SQUE~~K! Took the suspense right out of it lol!
PULL THE ROPE!!!! it bugs me so much watching these playthroughs and they do not look around. there was a rope she could pull by the chest... maybe she gets to it, but com'n look around. up down left right. these environments are huge and ya gotta interact. FALLOUT 3 is the best example, you can play for months without playing the story line just by looking around and interacting

This game was really well made, but the "twist" ending really sucked. It's shit like this that reinforces stigma against people with schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder. People with DID are way more likely to become victims of crime/abuse than they are to become criminals or murderers. People with DID have it hard enough, they don't need games and movies like this demonizing them anymore than they already are.
How many people do you actually know that play this game take its content as gospel? Clearly this game was far more about a retelling of Jekyll and Hyde than it was any kind of commentary on mental illness. So chill out.

The excessive monologues of the MC are really distracting. They don't add to a creepy atmosphere but rather take something away and make it less spooky.

Yeah you cant read spooky stuff off of r/NoSleep the stories are protected but others you'll be fine. You and your boyfriend telling each other "dad jokes" and the one to laugh the least wins would be fun. Or you could write a bunch of games down that you guys love on pieces of paper and fold them, then pick out 2 at a time and you have to pick which of the two you like better. It gets hard, my boyfriend and I did it with bands and it was so difficult.
Gabbo, on the reading thing, I think you're missing a possibility. You have an audience. That's something writers want, at least new ones. So, you put the word out -- in exchange for the rights to read their work on TH-cam, you'll read their work. You get something to read legally. (You'll have to arrange to have some sort of legal document granting you the right and that this is actually their own work and any trouble falls on them.) But it is a way. Or you could solicit authors on Twitter for any work they haven't published and don't think they can sell. Think it over.

Okay so first off, schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder are not the same thing. Secondly its so disappointing to see so much good game lead up to "oh wouldn't it be spooky if you had another personality and it was violent". Its tired. Its ablest.
