Yes, like TwoSet Violin, they have found a niche with their character and personality on top of the music and technical ability, unintentionally, almost inadvertently, that makes their work really stand out. This becomes hard to balance over time after some burnout sets in, where you are like "oh I have to do something qUiRky and aWkWaRd for the fanbois this week or the algorithm will forget me", but they seem to be really hitting their stride now, it never seems forced or contrived. Can't wait for what the future will bring.

Whenever I see these kinds of comments, or how awful people can be in small stream chats, I am admittedly stunned. just want to make sure you guys know that I do like your work, and many others do too. Made me play my guitar more than I had in a long time.

Oh my goodness! During the Tacoma comment I thought, “would be strange, but maybe this person was thinking of Moriah?” Then sure enough! I can say, I played a show with her in Norman and her songs were great and her use of pedals and harp together was excellent and I am a fan of both of you separate people.
I get that some people have face blindness but like the only thing they share is a harp lol. I mean, I actually HAVE face blindness and I can keep them apart really easily. XD
I've gotten burnt out watching gear videos over the years, but this is the only channel that I still consistently watch because it's genuinely entertaining and gives me appreciation for an instrument I didn't know much about before.
Emily, I love what you do. As a kid of parents very much into classical choral/orchestral music, the only harp music I ever saw was, well, the classic, very lyrical style. Kind of nice, but also somehow missing something. I so much love how your creativity pulls such unheard-of sound out of that same instrument. Please keep these coming! 🥰
Honestly, I think mixing your harp with guitar pedals takes the harp to new levels. I really liked the the echo and delay effects.they give the harp a real ethereal effect. I say keep experimenting. Who knows maybe this will lead to a whole new genre of music..I really enjoy what you are doing keep it coming.
I listen to a fairly diverse selection of music. Emily is the only harpist that I seek out, and what I like best about her is her willingness to experiment - and also her sense of humor! Oh - and I'm nearly 60, and her choices in fashion and facial adornment are just fine...👍
Emily's music's great. If you want some other recs (not saying you do) why not look into some other pop harpists? Some of my favourites are Mikaela Davis, Georgie Ruth and Emma Gatrill.
Emily handles the "No Class" comments with incredible grace. This is why I love this channel so much. Will I purchase a pedal that she tests out... well.. maybe... but for people to actually say that the is not a musician only shows that such people only make themselves look bad. I wrote the original "chesty" comment on Reddit. I feel bad and sorry, and a bit ashamed. And I also laughed a little. This was a silly, relatively obscure subreddit where things aren't meant to be taken seriously. People make fun of paid synth youtubers there. Besides, I knew very little about you and your channel. I only watched a few videos and could only remember vaguely how you looked like. I am sorry for mocking your physical features and choosing this funny word. You are a great human being, both physically and spiritually and I am truly sorry for being mean and using this stupid word. If I knew you would somehow end up reading it, I would have never posted it. I am sorry. I watched quite a few of your videos and they're great. The way you dealt with this, I admit is quite funny and you do have a great sense of humour. Continue doing what you're doing and don't pay attention to idiots like me.

Yes, like TwoSet Violin, they have found a niche with their character and personality on top of the music and technical ability, unintentionally, almost inadvertently, that makes their work really stand out. This becomes hard to balance over time after some burnout sets in, where you are like "oh I have to do something qUiRky and aWkWaRd for the fanbois this week or the algorithm will forget me", but they seem to be really hitting their stride now, it never seems forced or contrived. Can't wait for what the future will bring.

Whenever I see these kinds of comments, or how awful people can be in small stream chats, I am admittedly stunned. just want to make sure you guys know that I do like your work, and many others do too. Even as small as it is, negativity is overrepresented vocally, sometimes it's good for people who lurk (like me) to just take a moment to make sure it is known that the efforts which go into these videos are appreciated.
I dunno why people are mad about a rare instrument being played well through interesting pedals. Must be people who don't play instruments!

Oh my goodness! During the Tacoma comment I thought, “would be strange, but maybe this person was thinking of Moriah?” Then sure enough! I can say, I played a show with her in Norman and her songs were great and her use of pedals and harp together was excellent and I am a fan of both of you separate people.
I get that some people have face blindness but like the only thing they share is a harp lol.

Emily, I love what you do. As a kid of parents very much into classical choral/orchestral music, the only harp music I ever saw was, well, the classic, very lyrical style. Kind of nice, but also somehow missing something.

Honestly, I think mixing your harp with guitar pedals takes the harp to new levels. I really liked the the echo and delay effects.they give the harp a real ethereal effect. I say keep experimenting. Who knows maybe this will lead to a whole new genre of music..I really enjoy what you are doing keep it coming.

I listen to a fairly diverse selection of music. Emily is the only harpist that I seek out, and what I like best about her is her willingness to experiment - and also her sense of humor! Oh - and I'm nearly 60, and her choices in fashion and facial adornment are just fine...👍
Emily's music's great. If you want some other recs (not saying you do) why not look into some other pop harpists?
Some of my favourites are Mikaela Davis, Georgie Ruth and Emma Gatrill.
Emily handles the "No Class" comments with incredible grace. This is why I love this channel so much. Will I purchase a pedal that she tests out... well.. maybe... but for people to actually say that the is not a musician only shows that such people only make themselves look bad. Keep doing what you do, Emily... you are absolutely beautiful. I hope someday I get to write some ambient music with you. Cheers.
