Play it as it was intended and designed. Modern screens completely ruin the magic of the original N64 graphics and aesthetics. Also versions like the one for Nintendo Switch Online or those for emulators (when CRT filters or scanlines are not used). A big part of why I love the N64 graphics has to do with old tube TVs. Many of the "tricks" that the programmers used to get around the storage limitations of the cartridges have to do with the "blend" that a CRT TV achieved between 2D and 3D graphics (backgrounds, landscape elements, pre-rendered images, characters, etc.). The N64's characteristic smoothing and blurring are lost in modern versions, with sharp edges and an obvious difference between 2D and 3D elements, revealing the low resolution of some images. Something that with the fog and certain tricks gave us that wonderful aesthetic that we remember with such nostalgia. There is an attempt to make everything HD, with high-resolution textures or models that for me take away all the grace of the original console (for example, the PC port of Super Mario 64). The N64's graphics would surely have been technically superior if the CD format had been chosen, but the limitations of the cartridge format and the tricks the programmers resorted to to overcome those limitations (fogging, blurring, anti-aliased low-res textures, etc.) they resulted in such a particular and wonderful aesthetic that I wouldn't change it for anything.
Hey, a fellow CRT playing channel! I will add you to my favorite channels list, it's incredible how deep TH-cam hides good channels sometimes, despite looking over and over for CRT channels like yours, it still comes up nearly a year later. Good to see it and wow, that is a very unique looking Trinitron!
Yoshi got his own banana in the beginning and you coupdve won at 7:49 by throwing the red shells early to hit bowser same with last stage to hit wario they target on the player

Love this game.
There was a Pikachu N64 in the corner there. Does it work? I heard that the cheeks actually light up when you power it on.
