  • In this video Edward and I add a RennTech style carbon fiber front splitter to my 2016 Mercedes Benz AMG GTS First Edition. We continue the addition of after-market carbon fiber body elements and aero to the GTS. In this video we introduce the use of 3M panel bond in edition to 3M VHB double-sided tape as a way to secure front splitter to the bumper.
This front splitter is not a performance or down-force type front splitter for racing or tracking, it is strictly an aesthetic modification to the GTS. I love the way it makes the front-end of the GTS pop and look more aggressive. LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!
We sourced the RennTech style carbon fiber front splitter from Zefer Performance, if you send a DM to @Zeferperformance on Instagram and let them know Midlifecarisis recommended their products, they will give you an addition 5% off your order on any Zefer Performance branded parts.

It would be very interesting if someone posted a video about reversing the process, not on this installation of course, so others could see if a body panel can be removed after using 3M Panel Bond 08115. I assume it will be darn near impossible to remove any panel after using Panel Bond.
