👍👍💜💜👍👍💜💜👍👍The most adorable British couple on the Costa Blanca, Mike & Yvonne, have just returned to Torrevieja once again. Dear friends, welcome! We look forward to the next video! A big hug!
Hi Juan, thank you for your kind words. We are very much looking forward to spending time in our favourite place in the world... Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi we’ve done this trip, exit where people hold signs straight 12 o clock, elevator to departure then turn right to buses, small difference but you avoid queues of rentals, also you can buy your bus ticket on line guaranteeing your ride, showing the bus driver on your phone 😎
Hi Tomm5228, thanks for watching and for your alternative route to the buses, I'm sure someone on here will find it useful. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi great information about traveling for the Airport. Where can you get an airport bus timetable from? Also do you have to order a taxi, or do you just wait for one to come along. . Thanks. Jo
torrevieja.com/en/torrevieja-alicante-airport-bus-timetable/ Hi Thomas, the timetable is in the video's description but I've put it here for you (above). Taxis from the airport, we don't get as they are too much for us, about 65-70ish to Torrevieja one way as opposed to 3.15 € with a tarjeta (bus card)
Interesting video. Can you say more about prices and routes/timetables for bus from airport? We usually hire a car to drive to our apartment in Oriheula Costa so assuming have to get to Torrevieja & bus or taxi back? You didn’t mention your taxi cost from bus station or how long you waited. Have family visiting so if they could make their own way saves us constantly driving back & forth to airport. Enjoy your videos as they give practical advice. Keep up good work 😁
Hi Fordwood1283, thanks for watching. There is more information in the description, I'll put the link here:All the info about the bus including timetables etc. below torrevieja.com/en/torrevieja-...
Hi Mike and Yvonne, great to see you back between the lakes 🙂 there are two city buses "B" & "G" from near the bus station that stop in your area running every half hour or so 😉 but a short and cheap taxi ride is probably the best option after a long day of travel and flying
Hi Yutubis, Yes we are familiar with the buses but by the time we get to the bus station we would rather spoil ourselves with a taxi it's only about 8€ Thanks for watching and for your informative comment. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Enjoy your time in Spain, looking forward to seeing more content. An update on the new housing development at El Chaparral would be good to see. There's also talk of a a growing homeless issue in Torrevieja, would be interesting to see if you've noticed any change on this front.
Hi, yes, we will be doing some updates on the various developments round and about like the harbour and La Hoya. Thanks for watching, best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Another good video from the Happy Couple . How much does Taxi cost from Bus Station to Altos de Limonar? Hope to meet up this visit as out September 9th till 17th, Enjoy your holiday in the Sun ☀ 😊
Hi, the taxi costs around 8€ from the bus station to our house in Altos del Limonar. Thanks for watching and for your nice comments. Hope you have a nice break, you might see us around our little strip, be sure to say Hello....Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
thank you for the video. the ALC-TORRE bus is a frequently asked question in Flemish/Dutch FB Torrevieja groups. i help with screenshots of the bus stop in ALC airport and the timetables. from now on i will also add a link to this video if this is not a problem.
Hi Danny, please feel free to use the link in whichever way you feel it will help people find their way and at the same time promote our channel and increase subscribers. We appreciate this very much so you can do as you like with the link. Thanks for being a top contributor and subscriber....Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
We know that feeling of the bus going past our house 😂. We're out on 24th Sept, so will see you both at your youtube anniversary gathering on 28th 👍. Best wishes Simon & Sue
Oh that would really make me very nervous waiting in line to get on the bus knowing that if I don't make it, my luggage will be gone! 😨 Good to see you are back in bonita españa! ☀
Hi Janny, thanks for watching and commenting. It's not a very enjoyable experience when it's busy but great when it's quiet and free from badly behaved and rude tourists. The bus itself is very comfortable. All the best, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi Steve, yes, wouldn't it be amazing to get a train to the airport. They did it in the UK as well didn't they? they must be regretting that decision now...Thanks for watching, all the best Mike and Yvonne.
Nice clear video. When we went to Torrevieja we landed at the old murcia airport it was just before it moved. Is Alicante airport a better choice now murcia has moved further away? Ta! 😊
Hi Stevio, thanks for watching. Yes, The new airport in Murcia is called Corvera which replaced the old Murcia airport which I believe is now military only. Alicante airport is only about 90 minutes from where the old airport was so not a bad choice for people visiting The Mar Menor and surrounding areas. For people going to Torrevieja this would be the best airport as it has more facilities and a better road network using the N332 or the motorway AP7. Thanks for your comment, best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
How long has this bus been going, years ago we used to have to go into Alicante and get a bus out even though the first bus used to go past the airport approach road.
@@grahamjohnson4702 Hi Graham, thanks for watching. The airport bus to Torrevieja has been going many years, we have been coming for 8 years and we’ve always got this bus.. Best wishes Mike and Yvonne
Your videos are always so informative - well done. We are over on 20th September and we might bump into you and buy you both a pint - we are in Jardin Del Mar V 👍👍
Hi Robbie. thanks for watching and for your great comment. You are not too far from us, we will be here so let us know where you'll be and we can meet up for a pint... We are also having a TH-camrs Meet Up on 28th September to celebrate our 4 years on TH-cam, there will be lots of other TH-camrs there so everyone is welcome there also. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
If you walk from the bus station to the top of the street there is a new mercadona, that's where the bus stops are back to torretas and san luis B And G lines
Hi Paul, thanks for watching and for the information. We feel after 3 buses and an aeroplane we can treat ourselves to the luxury of an 8€ taxi ride to our door. We used to enjoy walking home but not anymore as we are getting on a bit. Thanks for that info, I'm sure it will be of use to some people on here....Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi Iain, thanks for watching and for your comment. I hope so, for when it's busy. Although we have been on the bus when it has been nearly empty so maybe they should use different sizes. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Hi lozjones, yes it is on the description of the video. I'll give you it here again. Thanks for watching, All the best, Mike and Yvonne. torrevieja.com/en/torrevieja-...
Hi Keith, thanks for watching. You can buy your ticket in advance at the bus station and on line also, I think. Not sure how it guarantees your place if you are at the back of the queue though, I suppose the driver would have to throw someone off to accommodate you.....lol See torrevieja.com/en/torrevieja-alicante-airport-bus-timetable/
NHi Phillip, thanks for watching. You can definitely pay by card on the bus and we think you can buy the card as well although not 100 % sure. I;m sure someone on here may know and answer. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
@@BetweenTheLakes Yes. I bought one from the driver at Alicante airport in may this year. 2 euros for the card and 20 euros minimum first time top up. You can use the one card for any number of tickets, just remember to place your card on the reader and WAIT for it to produce a ticket.
Welcome home….just for info…if you get a pre pay card from local Avanza bus drivers for say €20. Each time you use the avanza bus it’s 60c instead of €1.55. “BUT” the coach from ALC to bus garage is €3 each
We wondered what the position was on that. I did say, in jest, that you could still be left behind but if that's the case it's wise to book in advance and we will spread that message. Hope you are well, All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Used the bus many times but it became a bun fight.People were like animals trying to push in front of you so I bought a car.A shame because cheap service, but you will see people at their worst.
Hi Roger, yes, you are right, we have encountered bad behaviour and selfishness getting on the bus. Thanks for watching and for your comment. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
that is the advantage of this bus: it is a direct bus without stops after a 50 minute ride. there is an alternative if you want stops. take the C6 bus (every 20 min.) to the bus station of Alicante city and change there to the bus to Pilar de la Horadada. this bus stops among others in Santa Pola, La Marina, Guardamar, La Mata and of course also in Torrevieja. and there is also a BAM bus that leaves from the airport with less frequent schedules and that also stops everywhere in between.
Hi Fred, I hope you are well. Thanks for watching. Yes, it's frustrating but, understandable, as the bus would stop every five minutes and make the journey twice as long. The taxi was only 8.80 from the station. so not too bad. All the best, Mike and Yvonne.
