Turn the potstand upside down over the top of the burner to use with smaller pots or camping cups.

Just a few pointers. Never fill the burner to the top. 2/3 full maximum. You need room for the fumes to expand to burn efficiently & safely. That will be between 2 - 4 oz depending on the size of the burner. 1 oz should be enough to boil 2 cups of water. On average an alcohol stove will burn for aprox 10 min/oz of fuel. Denatured alcohol otherwise known as methyl hydrate is definitely he best choice for fuel. Rubbing alcohol will smoke & clog the jets/holes.
Those Chinese import knock offs are a great deal & decent stoves worth the small price but not near the quality of a genuine Trangia. The Trangia is solid brass, the knock offs are plated mystery metal to look like brass. The Trangia has non=burnable wick material inside the inner walls the knock offs don't. How do I know all this? I make & sell alcohol stoves & have cut the knock offs in half as well as the Trangia to examine the construction.
All the best with your alcohol stove endeavours. the more you use them, the more you'll like them for their simplicity & ease of use. The burners fit in just about any wood stove or stand as well. By the way, you can turn that little stand you got with the burner upside down with the burner under it for smaller pots. The magic number for the stand or rack to be above the flame is between 1 1/4" - 1 3/4". Sometimes a little higher can be better. Just don't put a pot closer than 1 1/4" to the top of the burner. If it's too close it won't be efficient. Also, a wind screen is a must for alcohol stoves. The slightest breeze will effect them terribly & they take forever to boil or cook anything if ever. That little Lixada wood stove works well as a windscreen pot support combo. I have a similar Lixada but it has a removable shelf that fits in the slots on the side of the stove with a hole in it that fits the burner perfectly & holds it about 1 5/8" below the top of the stove/stand.
*Edtit: PS: You really shouldn't store fuel in the burner. The sealed lid is just to save fuel from evaporation while not in use at camp. It's not meant for transport of fuel. Never use the lid to extinguish the flame. You will ruin the o-ring seal. Always use the simmer ring in the closed position. You open * close it to control the flame if you want to simmer or keep something warm. Always cook & boil without the simmer ring. For all things alcohol stove related, watch Hiram Cook's channel here on TH-cam. The man is a wealth of knowledge. PaleoHikerMD is also a good source for stove info. Sorry for the long comment but I trust it helped a little. Cheers from Canada.

For fitting smaller pots turn the stove 3 point base upside down. It gives you a flat to put your small stuff on.

Bend the shoulders in slightly on the stand and a GSI / Stanley two cup pot will be fine. Or as Rock Anderson says flip it upside down. You can also place the burner under the stand through the hole for other applications / options. Its a superb piece of kit.

Just one pointer which applies to the whole video. * I suggest that you check everything you say to be sure it is correct before you tell the world. That way you won't feel you've got to fill the gaps with a barrage of continuous words.

i have one that i have used. they work decent for the money. the biggest issue is the rubber o-ring goes bad and allows for leaking. be careful with that part. i wish the outer holder was just a bit smaller. it is just a bit to big for the metal coffee cups

Wish I could watch the video. Seems youtube is BROKEN AGAIN.
It is worth buying the redcamp just to get the pot stand!
I have both the Redcamp and the Trangia.
What I plan to do is make a fancy feast stove and see how well it works in the Redcamp pot holder.

Just a note .. trangia is not "American made", it's Swedish. It is the original swedish stove originally designed for their military. They are indestructible, as are most of the copies manufactured in China. These, and my own cup stoves of similar design, are all I've used for more than 40 years, winter and summer. The most important element of any alcohol stove (or any stove for that matter, is a wind screen that will concentrate heat on the pan or pot and prevent heat loss.

The silver snuffer plate with handle rotates so you can regulate burn, you would have known that if you had actually used the stove. Don't store fuel in it ever, you will destroy the rubber O-ring.

I've usedine a bunch. And yeah, the o ring does suck, so you can get a better one for a dollar or two at a parts store. I just let it burn out before I put the lid back on

I got one last year and so far it works great. Have run at least a quart of alcohol through it and it works good. No problem with the o ring but I let it cool off and usually run it out before I put it away. Think I got mine for about 7 bucks on wish.

I got one of these a few years ago. Found the legs on the stove stand too short. Water was boiling very slowly and taking a lot of fuel. I had a Highlander version of the Trangia to compare it to at the time so I wasn't comparing it to a Trangia but another knock off. I found both stoves worked well with a taller stand I had. Got a Trangia a couple of years ago and it is a little better than this stove and the Highlander but I agree with you, if you don't use alcohol stoves very often this stove is fine, I just don't like the stand that comes with it.

I just got one of these. The fastest way to boil water with it is to simply set the base on top of the burner. It puts your pot about an inch and half from the top of the burner. Will boil two cups of water in about 7 minutes.

It regulates heat when you rotate the top covering to make an opening and put it on the stove. By adjusting the size of the opening in the heat regulator/snuffer you adjust how much air/oxygen the flame gets and thus can vary the temperature at which it burns. At least I think that is how it works.
