This is the first pack where it looks like they actually researched what's in style (for that specific aesthetic); the hair bandana, the dress clearly inspired by Lirika Matoshi's strawberry dress, etc. Major props to everyone who worked on the CAS items for this pack

It’s funny/sad seeing how many cute clothes there are for women and then switching to the men stuff and being like oh yeah there’s 4 outfits, lol
Not just that, but some of these clothes look almost exactly to clothes we already have in game.
And all of our shorts are so long, and the pants are so baggy
literally! I'm a guy, I think cottagecore is adorable, I would've loved to see more farm boy attire :((

I wish there was a website that linked to irl clothing based on the Sims CAS stuff, I was SO MANY OF THESE
I can tell you that some of the jackets are obviously Sim versions of Barbour jackets and the boots are Hunter wellies. However the cottagecore bits I have no idea but I also want all of it 😍
I'm waiting for the day EA opens up a Sims online clothing store!
I also feel like they took inspiration from an Australian brand called Dangerfield, a lot of the patters/cuts of these outfits in CAS are nearly identical

I loved the women’s and children/toddler clothes, but the men’s clothes really were not my cup of tea.
Male sims always get the short end of the stick in CAS.
It’s a little disappointing. Especially cause a lot of the men’s just looked the same. Only three hairs, barely any full body and they do be ugly. Disappointing
I like how there are more looks that will suit elders!
I cannot WAIT for this pack I’ve only seen the trailer- But I can’t wait to see the clothing and all the build mode items and activités and everything!
i wish you could have headbands as "hats" to add them to other hairstyles too :(
Cas always disappoints for men! I play on console and I HAVE to stick with what we are given because we can’t get CC! Sucks because they always focus on female sims!
Yeees all my men look the same, lately i've been trying to make them look different but they still have the same vibe
You could just take of the masc tag lol the sweaters specifically seem pretty neutral if you care about that sort of thing
I agree that lactose intolerant and vegetarian should be separate. I'm both lactose intolerant and vegetarian so if I make my self Sim have both, then that's 2/3rds of my traits! The majority of my personality has become not eating meat or dairy lmao I wish these were like the utensil preferences where you can just click on the fridge and get a hidden trait.
That actually would make more sense. i would also love for the sims team to make more slots. Like in the sims 3. I know there are mods for that but still....
Since we have likes and dislikes now, it would be cool if that could be involved, like maybe a kid would dislike veggies, while a vegetarian would dislike meat, and a lactose intolerant person would dislike dairy
There are mods that make vegetarian an added trait (like the ones you can get in the points store), I use them all the time! I hope modders will do the same for the lactose intolerant.

I love how this pack managed to have good gameplay AND aesthetics at the same time, instead of choosing one or the other like many other packs we've had in the past years

I feel like it gets worse and worse, I Think a pack just for males would be something we need, female sims always look gorgeus and the male sims look like okay put that on and we are done.
I think the men's clothes look worn out because they work in the dirt...on a farm! I'm happy to have it. You can't be new and neat ALL the time. Also, I guess we might get male mayors with that one full outfit with the metal, not sure.
I’m lactose intolerant but I’d rather people remember me because I’m a bookworm and cat lover. Being intolerant does not define me. It’s just a health problem... plus it’s not a choice like being vegetarian. Didn’t like that they added it as a trait.
the traits are so lacking that this lactose intolerance isnt the worst at this point ._.
I love how this pack has a lot more clothing for elderly sims. I'm so excited for the new gameplay features!
I have pre-ordered and have been dying to see what the cas whould bring! I love that They have included thoes oversized kinda ugly stuff tho, it Will be perfect for my elders! Gonna make a little grandma who lives in a lil cottege and knits 😍
Damn, now that I think about it, that's very true! I always struggled dressing my elder sims because all of the clothing I had was very trendy and very modern, this pack will surely help me with that struggle.
I love the look for this pack. It looks so cozy and I just love sweaters in general. I love the vibe of this pack. The tops are all so cute and so are the dresses for the teen-elder sims

honestly cottagecore fashion isn’t my favourite but I’m definitely getting this pack for all the other reasons
I was impatiently waiting for somebody from the community to create the full CAS overview, and I must say, I'm glad it was you. You've done it in great detail.
Now... If I may say a few things.
I wish we'd got the turtleneck for men (the one from underneath the jacket) as a standalone piece.
I have actually counted the pieces (the ones most important for me), and I'm let down again by the sims team. So, we've got 12 female hairstyles but ONLY 3 for male sims (?), 36 female clothing pieces and ONLY 19 for men (?). Is it some kind of a running theme that male CAS assets are being neglected every single time? Or is it only me thinking so. I didn't count the accessories, shoes, etc., but female sims are getting over 50 pieces, and male sims are getting not even half of this number (?)... Please, tell me that I'm not the only one who's upset about it.
PS: If you know any good Custom Content creators who make male CC, let me know. I'm desperate for male CAS assets that are not 'halfassed'.
I don't understand why they don't try and even things out. Even if they didn't add more male clothing options, how about facial hairs? We get so few of those.

Also, the male outfit with the big medal on is a mayor's outfit, and very old fashioned. I know this because my great grandmother had a picture of her husband in her house and he was the mayor of the town she lived in.

I absolutely love it and think the team really outdid themselves. I love playing with gardening and handiness and am so happy to see a lot of clothing options that is realistic and not to fancy for gardening 👩🌾 also the clothes is really fitting for norther European weather. Can’t wait for the 22nd 😍
The amount of clothes for men and children in this pack is actually disgusting. It isn't even the usual 2:1 ratio, its worse.
i mean realistically men don't wear too many different outfits, like there's not much you could make for men.
@@margotromeo1503 you need to meet more men. Even bland cis straight men aren't as boring as they are in Sims. Just this pack could have added dozens of beards. Hairstyles from long to short to balding, braided, textured, coloured. This cottage core wear for men is the most basic and washed out version of cottage core I ever seen. Manly fashion may be often simplistic, but when it goes down to details it gets real art. Where are the rings, signets, cuffs, neckties, face and ear accessories, glasses. It was great opportunity to add update with body hair, as well. Also where are any patterns. All of that could have been added just basing it on English reality, but there are hundreds of ethnic groups that you could take inspiration as well. Pre-wars basic farmer fashion? Or the clothes that cottage core is based on - which is previous versions of village life fantasies? Ethnic slavic, scandinavian or pretty much any European fashion? Where are flowers, where are fruits, where are animals, this is pack that adds embroidery for God's sake and men did not get full wardrobe of different patterned shirts. For every single dress made in this pack - you could have make a matching shirt for men. And that would already double male clothing options.

I adore most of these pieces, the black polka dot dress I own in real life :3 sigh I want so many of these pieces forreal hahaha.
Seems like there's two styles of cloths here: More fashion-related cottage core items, particularly for the girls, and country work-clothes which are baggy, worn and not at all meant to be good looking. I guess most of the men's clothing fall into that category. The quilted jackets with lozenge-shaped padding are _very_ British country side working clothes.

I was hoping for some simple overalls that weren't in a fullbody.
