@@c3aloha ugh, I feel your pain my radio went out as well back in March 2021! I can press all the button on the my ford sync 2 Except fm/am & I have no sound at all but when I can still hear the clicking sounds. I have looked at forums & this seems to be an issue for all ford escapes, so annoying.

How do we put in another brand of stereo because the Ford stereo sucks.
Will trying this method help if the sound went out? I have a 2014 fordescape I believe the ford sync 2 , I am able to touch all the buttons (navigation, settings, etc..) but when I touch fm/am it freezes, while touching the buttons I able to hear the click sound. Looking at the forums on Ford many have the same problem & my ford dealership wants $200 to “diagnose” the problem & I wonder if this method would work or what you suggest?
I would try to reinsert the stereo fuse to try to reset it
You could also try removing the neg terminal of battery for a couple of min to reset the stereo

Go to Crutchfield, punch in year and model. It will spit out results for a dash bezel that will fit and special adapters. Hope this helps

When I removed the brown/black SiriusXM antenna connectors, the wire had came out of the connectors and the wire for the black one snapped off. I know the black one is for the antenna, how do I replace that?

Your recommended replacement radio has a 6.8 in screen and it's replacing Ford's default 4 in (approx) screen. How will that fit ??? (2015 Ford escape)

I agree. At least older model vehicles you can swap out as many radios as you want without hassle plus emergency flasher switch is on the steering wheel where it belongs.
