Boy, can I relate - Late 90s and early 00s will probably forever be the greatest time for music ever. Nu metal and pop punk at its peak, post-grunge, the garage rock revival, etc. - hard to believe that such heavy music was mainstream back then and got so much airplay on MTV and radio when today there is hardly any contemporary rock played at all.
I met Scooter on a couple of occasions. He told me this song was about a child molester. Then, said he cant imagine the anger as a father that some have to go through and how that there wasn't a chain, jail, etc. that he wouldnt chew his way through to get to the son of a bitch that hurt a child. Great guy. It was truly an honor to meet and hang out with him. Its beyond criminal that these guys are so underrated. I was fortunate enough to experience them in my teens/early 20s.

I was fortunate enough to work in the music industry in my late teens/early 20s and learned alot. I made some connections that helped me get to hang out with a ton of bands back then. It wasn't like today where its $200-$300 for a 1 hour party after the show. Bands would typically hang out near the tour buses or in the bar (depending on venue) and if you were there, they would hang with you. I have some seriously amazing stories and pics to back it up lol. I hope my daughter thinks these things are as cool as I do when she gets older lol

Even taking that into account, we never got a DS, Wii, 3DS, or WiiU entry for the series... not even a remake! Three out of these four were very, very successful systems and all four had stylus and/or motion controls which seem very suited for evolving this series' gameplay. Jet Set Radio Future was only on the X-Box. The original Jet Set Radio was re-released in 2012, though and *still* skipped all Nintendo consoles. Maybe it is just my bias speaking, but the console which is home to Splatoon seems like it ought to be home to the GGs. :D

I look back at this video and remember the band that could've been. And there is nothing wrong with that. They had a damn good run. Back in 2001 - 2003 I would follow them and catch shows at the Roxy theatre (LA), and other local venues. They would hang out after shows and always be humble enough to shoot the shit with us and other fans, I remember how I loved that even though they had an aggressive sound, they still reminded me of other artist I loved like the Cure and Depeche Mode. Good memories. Good times...

First band I ever saw, they played with Godsmack, Staind and another band I cannot remember. This was in Louisville, KY at the Louisville Gardens, I still remember it like it was yesterday.
The nu-metal and post grunge era was full of trash, but Cold was a surprisingly good band for how proudly it wore influences from both on its sleeve. Unlike most who used the two trends to bolster their chances of hitting big on the radio, Cold seemed to be coming from a place of integrity and apprecation for the sound.
This song reminds me of a rough cut demo. I come from a town with a lot of small bands; some successful and some not. This has that "raw edge, recorded in a garage, give-it-your-all" sound to it.
Man I was backstage at locobazooka 2000 and I was leaning on an equipment case watching dope do their set, they were playing fuck the police. And out of the corner of my eye some skinny bald dude came up next to me and joined me watching the set, I glanced real quick then did a second take and said "holy shit, scooter!" He laughed and shook my hand and we talked thru the rest of dopes set and while the equitptment team set their set. He was such a cool down to earth guy to talk to. Can't believe that was 17 years ago..
Got into Cold from Jet Grind Radio on Sega Dreamcast. The level that played this was always my favorite level to play simply because of this song. Got to see Cold live in Cleveland a few years ago. Fan for life.

Saw them tonight in Paris Tx. They played this, which was my very first Napster download in the 90s. I was able to tell Scooter Ward as much after their show. And he was so kind to me, and we had a very short, but warm conversation about them and Limp Bizkit and how they were some of the only ones to embrace file sharing music. Truly a transcendent evening. amazing band and amazing people.

Been a long time since I listened to this song. Used to play it all the time, back when CD's still mattered. Their self titled album and Year of the Spider where regulars in my disk rotation.
Everyone has that one album that hit them at that one point in their lives...this was it for me. Freshman in highschool when my friend let me borrow this CD. It has every emotion and to this day is my favorite album ever recorded. I hate this band faded out, but they live on in forever inside the interwebs!
Limp Bizkit introduced me to Cold. Even on the back of their first album it says thanks to Fred Durst for everything.. Nu Metal is alternative. Definitely not your traditional rock n roll, no 80's guitar solos. Nu Metal doesn't always include rap. Nu Metal can be very dark, just like Cold, Deftones, Korn. List can go on. Nu Metal was the sound of the time. Nu Metal can be considered post grunge, there can be a mixture of both. The Nu Metal look isn't always backwards hats, baggy pants. No matter how much you want to deny it you can hear the Nu Metal in this and it sounded very new at the time during the Nu Metal era.
Just “caught” my kids listening to a lot of the music I did when I graduated high school. I ‘jumped’ over the couch to add the whole “13 ways to bleed on stage” album to their playlist. I’ve never felt simultaneously old af, and like a teenager again. 🤣🤣

Been a long time since I listened to this song. Used to play it all the time, back when CD's still mattered. Their self titled album and Year of the Spider where regulars in my disk rotation.
Everyone has that one album that hit them at that one point in their lives...this was it for me. Freshman in highschool when my friend let me borrow this CD. It has every emotion and to this day is my favorite album ever recorded. I hate this band faded out, but they live on in forever inside the interwebs!

Its Nu Metal... And Nu Metal is post grunge technically because it was the next big thing after Grunge
Limp Bizkit introduced me to Cold. Even on the back of their first album it says thanks to Fred Durst for everything.. Nu Metal is alternative. Definitely not your traditional rock n roll, no 80's guitar solos. Nu Metal doesn't always include rap. Nu Metal can be very dark, just like Cold, Deftones, Korn. List can go on. Nu Metal was the sound of the time. Nu Metal can be considered post grunge, there can be a mixture of both. The Nu Metal look isn't always backwards hats, baggy pants. No matter how much you want to deny it you can hear the Nu Metal in this and it sounded very new at the time during the Nu Metal era.
