I love the cleaner, I really do, but from a sort of social-history point of view it says so much about the mindset of the designers at Hoover...as we know, Hoover loved to cast their nets fair & wide, producing cleaner after cleaner in different colours etc but all doing the same thing, so it's no surprise that Hoover wanted a soft-bag cleaner on all of its ranges. However, looking at this logically, it has all the hallmarks of being aimed at a customer that wanted a top-end high-priced cleaner with the Hoover reputation and quality, superior carpet cleaning, lots and lots of up-to-date features (including that state-of-the-art "digital" height adjuster panel), but for whom the thought of a modern hard-bag unit would leave them clutching their pearls in horror...as if, perhaps, that was one innovation too far. I'm not sure such a consumer existed.
very good vacuum cleaner
Have you ever wanted a Moulinex Major? I think they're gorgeous (from the 80s)!
