    Might buy one fer the missus. She's into "the dominant side". Pretty sure you could accommodate a rolling pin, heated hair curlers, thumb screws and the electro-shock therapy kit into one of those babies.
    Might just weigh her down long enough for me to run to my man-cave, where the spiders keep her at bay.

    My old work mate had a diamond back and after 3 years its being held together with cable ties and rivets he installed himself. I haven't got either of these but going by what I've seen online, id have to say the badger tool belt looks just that bit better. But I don't think either is worth the money.

    I had a set of diamond bags made by the previous owners and lasted 12 years and went badger as I was able customise to my specification like mor open pockets for tool slots and an open pocket on the side I use for a square or pad saw. The biggest advantage to these type of belts is you can simply by a belt that fits you to your waist. Not an oversized belt that is no good when you have 30 inch waist

    My bradawls have a chisel point so it cuts the grain rather than splitting the grain , on small joinery jobs the small screws used tend not to strip out as much over time . the vest looks good but might become restrictive in certain scenarios .

    I'm wearing a snickers tool vest for the last 4 years now, will never wear a nail bag again. lower back problems gone, can't carry as much stuff in the pockets but can walk like normal with no weight on the hips

    Years ago I was working converting a warehouse into a bathroom showroom, one day the owner came in wearing two holsters with six shooters, a pair of chaps a hat and sheriff badge and announced “ if you work with cowboys it’s good to look like one”.😅 nothing to do with tool belts I know, but we had a laugh..

    I have looked up Diamond back in Australia. It is available but only if the bank approves the second mortgage. No doubt really good gear but out of my league.

    The Aussies make a great belt system called buckeroo. I brought a pouch home with me 12 years ago and still going strong. I wish I brought the whole rig now.

    A Bradawl is a handy tool. I made a longer one nice sharp point, easy to hold and mark with. Great video diamondback looks great, pouches hanging from your hips gets uncomfortable after awhile.

    Don't get me wrong, I do like the layout of diamondback nail bags....but, I need to wear out my Occidental bags first before I can justify the cost of a new set of bags....

    • @totalprecisioncarpenter5922
      @totalprecisioncarpenter5922 ปีที่แล้ว

      Iv used makita and after years it’s starting to finally break down. I’m considering the occidental would you recommend it?

    • @donb8447
      @donb8447 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@totalprecisioncarpenter5922 Hands down Yes!! the leather bags are heavier, longer to break in....mine are 18 yrs old and are just as strong as the day I bought them. Oxy lites are nylon and offer a little less weight with all the same features...you can get right handed or left handed bags, they are made to be hand specific tool holders.... get a high mount hammer loop, strong hold suspenders and the padded belt or hip pads they now have... sticker shock? yes...but these would be the last set you'll buy...unless they were stolen....I just can't say enough about them...they distribute the weight and are amazingly comfortable for all day wear. :)

    Diamond backs cannot hold nail guns properly. Belt is amazing other than that but jesus christ is that one of the most annoying things in the world. Id avoid purely for that reason
