The first three films had the best deaths by far in terms of brutality, but the amount of satisfaction Curse had for an ending was brilliant. If Curse was the last of this franchise, I would be more than happy. Always great to see what they do next though.

In the original from 1988, his comedic side was more downplayed, since that movie was way darker than the rest of the series. Best exemplified in the end credits theme: a somber track of music box-like synth stabs, piano chords, cellos and church-like choirs, to hammer the idea that a kid has just been robbed of his innocence because of all the horrors he's witnessed.
