TSW Desiro ScotRail Class 380 and Updated Cathcart Circle First Look Live

The Desiro ScotRail Class 380 is slipping into Cathcart with an extended time table and loads more services making Cathcart properly busy. I reckon they've nailed the 380 let's take a look

The 700 only makes that classic desiro whizz when it’s on 3rd rail mode. When it’s drawing power from overhead it’s pretty quiet

@@benzannoni2438 agreed, I do often wonder if the noise is an inverter converting the 700vdc into 25kvac not enough to actually go find out through 🤣

@@benzannoni2438 if you head further south on BML there's footbridges either side of Gatwick that are good for railfanning them and of course everyone else on the line. It's very busy there.

@@trainsimulatordriver ah I’m currently stuck in my hotel room after I burnt my feet at the beach and can’t walk but i definitely want to head down the BML in the coming days. It was my first ever TS2012 DLC
I managed to get out to ride on my favourite unit, the class 465/9 and record its sounds from both inside and outside the train. I also went down to Bournemouth on a 444 and Shoeburyness on a 357
I’ve got a first class Brit rail pass, I’ll send you the link to it if you need. It’s only available to people outside the UK and it’s extremely cheap

@@benzannoni2438 oh no that's awful, I hope you get better quickly. I looked at the britrail pass for my last trip. It was still cheaper to use tickets for what I was doing.

@@midisong BML, BPO, SEHS, Overground these are my fav routes I can think of right now.

@@midisong I liked Cathcart before the update, I like it even more now with the update and the addition of the 380. When the 158 comes as well it's going to be nice and busy. As for others Brighton Mainline is very good providing you're on a decent gaming PC or 9th gen console. If you like history and a slower pace West Somerset is nice. Blackpool branches is also good.
