If the lap is cranked, then you might have to show the horizontal section of the slab. However, in BS 8110, there is no need for cranked bars. I believe this concept is mainly in Indian Code
Hello Zolo, there is nothing special about that section cut. Just select a section and cut it where you want. I might be wrong but i believe i didn't skip any step to get exactly what i did. Thank you for watching my video.
You are right, its important and i didn't show it because in my country, its not necessary to show. They say it's a site Engineers job to determine that in regards to the length of the bars he is receiving from the suppliers. But all in all, i agree its important.

Yes you can. But i don't like that. Because it sometimes cause confusion especially when there are alot of things in the drawing
