As a DJ, I gotta say Dallas music is still hype in 2021. If you play Flex, Daddy Stroke, Club Rock, Pimp, Throwed Off, Stanky Leg, etc. everyone knows those songs because of the dances

The Dallas Boogie movement is what drove this new generation to dance in rap songs. Imagine if we had tik tok and other social platforms back in 2007-12.

When club cirque closed in 2012, thats when the boogie era started to die off. There needs to be a documentary about club cirque

Also the dance song dudes started making gangster music, they started straying away from what made them pop and Hit Dat the answer to who was winning the most with chicks was who ever was the flyest, it didn't matter if you was dancing or posted on the wall, no cap, Hit Dat was always in some heat, wardrobe and shoe game was always on point, Respect my Guy

That movement also helped dumbed down rap music. It is what it is.
