I have personally owned a Heatmaster MF series (MF3000e) and now I use a Portage and Main Ultimizer BL series (BL 2840). I can attest that this is exactly what I experienced. With the Heatmaster I routinely would find that my firewood would be on the sides of the firebox and the middle would be either burned out or down to just coals, bridging just like this video is showing. I am on my second season with my P&M and I have never experienced bridging with it, and it burns noticeably less wood. This is the third woodstove I have used (in about 20 years), considering the efficiency and that the P&M's are rebuildable if ever needed, I truly believe that it will be last one I'll ever need to buy. Great product.
Wow look at the BLUE FLAME!
on the Portage and Maine.
Beautiful warm fire! Looks like semi gasification !
