Another battery company from the past was Burgess. My mother worked as a secretary for their plant in Freeport Illinois back in the 1940's. I don't think they made radios, though. An interesting battery was their proprietary 69 volt battery for their "Safari Light" portable fluorescent lamp from the 60's. Nice way of getting the amplifier to fit in the case.
Had a look at the FM front end circuit vs the ITT Polo and they are very similar. I wonder if ITT and Ever Ready just outsourced to the same manufacturer at the time as I can’t find an equivalent ITT model.
