dude I love this game, but it isnt actually the first great JRPG with mobile in mind, the whole chaos rings saga for example is awesome, play Chaos Rings 3. Witch Spring saga as well, i suggest u play number 3, Djinn Caster, Cat Quest, there have been several great JRPGs in mobile. but what I do agree with is that there should be more
Just subbed, great review, have u played Epic Seven yet, it's another great game, with an awesome storyline, combat, and mechanics, and the way it works, was definitely built for mobile, I think mobile games are changing, starting with Another Eden, and now this 2nd big release, both if these games are extremely well made! 😀
Good vid. It's so refreshing and nice to see someone talk positively about mobile games. They aren't all trash! I am getting to this game at some point, but I gotta do Grand Summoners first!
Thanks Caleb! Mobile has so much trash that you really gotta dig to find the good stuff. Another Eden is definitely that and hopefully a few people give it a shot.
The first great JRPG came out in 2010 and was called Chaos Rings. Not a port from a console or a free to play gacha game and it was made by Square who has like 6 different gacha games right now. They had a bunch of sequels you can check the iOS store I don't know which ones have been ported to android but they stopped a few years ago. The problem was the market started coming out with freemium and it will forever doom mobile since now everyone has to do freemium or just die.
True but this dosen't really have that it has gacha true but its not required it's more of a thing to support the developers you can beat the game using the free charecters and theres lots of freebies
Good video! You made me want it. I totally forgot this game existed. I remember people ripping on it for the Frog character lol. Mitsuda doing some music for this is all I needed to hear honestly, and everything else you said really convinced me.
This game is a truly hidden gem From the story, characters to the soundtrack, you can really feel the amount of hard work that went through it. Story is hard to get into at first but damn, when chapter 12-25 hit, you won't want to leave this game
A great game indeed! There's a lot of content to keep you going. The story and event quests are fun and challenging as well. I don't mind if there's no PVP element either. You won't regret playing.
This game still rocks! They actually keep giving stronger free character in almost every update and u can clear EVERY KIND OF CONTENT with only free characters There is 1 huge problem with the gacha system though, there is no pity but u can get your wished character with SDE which cost around 30 bucks and it happens around 3-4 times a year Also, since this is a JRPG, take a note this game heavily revolves around stories and it has no skip button so be ready for tons of reading or just tapping your finger if u somehow only interested with the gameplay
I started playing it because it has been made by the storyteller of Chrono Trigger...and I got to hand it down, this is the best JRPG on mobile, I mean it even got a Tales of and two Persona 5 Royal Collab...yep two What's more is that all contents are permanent, meaning no event time lock, nothing, in fact I think this is the main selling point of the game. Sure, Gacha mechanic and all but there's tons of different free characters, in fact the game can be cleared 100% with free characters. There's not much to say about the story, I mean it's made by Masato Kato himself, what's more is that even the side stories and all updates are top tier but... Even if all of that didn't convince you, the OVER THE TOP tier soundtrack is worth installing the game just to listen to it. If you hate mobile then the game got recently ported to PC (Steam) and a confirmed Switch port is coming soon. If you're into JRPG, then AN ABSOLUTE YES, what are you waiting for ?
I've had this downloaded on my phone for a while but as you said mobile games generally don't mesh with me. That being said I'll give it a go off your word here! Same with dragalia honestly.... Haha. I'll try both.
Like I said in the video, there are a lot of games that are mobile games first and RPGs second. Another Eden is definitely an RPG first and foremost, just built with mobile in mind. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts after giving it a try!
I haven't tried this yet plus it actually seems amazing but, have you seen the chaos rings series those are also fantastic jrpgs like Another Eden and, they are made by square enix give them a try if you can.
I'm really into Final Fantasy Record Keeper, but I hate the gatcha mechanics of the relic draws; Drop $30 on an 11 item pull, and only get one noteworthy relic?! Highway robbery that is!
Nice! I’ve heard good things about that game. And yeah gacha sucks, I have the feeling of gambling. Cool thing about Another Eden is you don’t even have to spend money if you don’t ant to and you can get a great experience out of it 👍
@@TheGamingShelf That's how they start out, but it seems that if you wanna really excel that these games, you end up forking over some scratch sooner or later.
I put in like 40-50 hours into Dragalia Lost before I tossed it any money, but at that point I felt like they earned something. Having fun for that long for free just seemed wrong lol.
@@Jebbtube "That's how they start out, but it seems that if you wanna really excel that these games, you end up forking over some scratch sooner or later." Not that true for Another Eden. Yes you may *want* the *best 5-stars* but you definitely don't need it, even for JP version a couple years in. You get advancement regardless and you get 5-stars (whether given or grinded-to-upgrade) too.
@@TheGamingShelf the story is getting expanded a lot lately, the last week just introduced the future and past versions of the east continent, which the present version was also introduced a while back You know what that means.....village pillaging time
I know mobile games aren’t everyone’s favorite, but I REALLY felt like I needed to talk about this one. Let’s keep the discussion civil ✌️😁

So far, this is the first and only JRPG that I spent time playing... it is indeed a very good game... 😊
appreciate this review man, considering it's file size, i was a bit hesitant to download it, but now you've convinced me that it's worth it.
Cool, happy to help!

With all of the mobile games that are starting to get their own anime, I’m kinda hopeful that Another Eden might get its own in the coming years
Would be cool!
This has got to be one of the best jrpgs on the mobile and they should make a ps5 version of this it would be awesome
Personally one of my current favorite mobile games now.. and we need more like it
Yes! Absolutely. Glad to hear from someone that’s played it and liked it!
Give the Chaos Rings series a try! It was my first really great JRPG experience on mobile.
Heard about those, I might have to!
I can only find the third one on the app store?

Put many hours into this game since launch. Love it. Still cannot believe how big it is.
This is the best Jrpg on mobile, and it's probably the best game ever too!
To think that this game is also collaborating with Octopath Traveler now, peak moment

I love another Eden it's the only mobile game I actually enjoy like a regular console or handheld rpg.
Wow! This game has some great industry greats in the work. I wanna get this game on mobile!
It's worth giving a go for sure!
Lv 36 . Loving it so far .

I’ve heard of them but never tried them. Might have to give them a look!
holyshit i liked this vid just 8 seconds in, that's a new record for me
Hells yeah!
Im definitely gonna give it a try
Sorry to say, it does not look like it is availible in europe on android, so i'm not able to try it out, looks good though.
Aw sorry Joel! Thought it was out worldwide. My bad :/

Just a question, are you still playing it?
*the new chapter's great isn't it?*
I haven’t really played since I made this video. Glad to hear it’s still being supported though!

Does the game have controller support?
Not that I found, no.
It doesn't need controller-support to be a good game. Why would you ever play a mobile game with controller?
i blind play online or offline ??
I’m not sure I understand the question 😅
@@TheGamingShelf :/ offline ...?
It’s a single player game but I believe to I need to be online to play it.
@@TheGamingShelf oh see thank you. Hardwork online play 😣
Does it have controller support?
Not that I remember. I couldn’t find much either after a quick google search but maybe keep digging if it’s a deal breaker for you.
Why would you ever use a controller for lobime games? In this game, a controller has no advantages. It's made for touch controls.
I tried but the graphics not my cup of tea, 'm still thinking about playing it...
Mobile games do have a certain look to them. It’s pretty good if you stick with it!
@@TheGamingShelf Ahhh Ur making ne playing it lol...

That’s all I’m asking! Have an open mind.
4 month non stop playing 😂
Nice! They keep adding content so it’s worth the time to keep coming back.
1 year non stop playing
It's amazing
Still a gacha hell tho.
Stop it
Stop what? 🤔
@@TheGamingShelf it, i guess
they already did in "IT chapter 2"
