    Supposed to pick up the A1 next week. Went in to buy an A2 and my LBS asked if I would be interested in the A1 if they could do it for the A2 price.. YUP! Never spent this much on a bike. In fact this will be almost double but I'm pretty excited about it!

    Super interesting to hear from the product team and actual engineers on their passion behind the product. Big Norco fan (riding a Sight VLT C2 these days) was cool to hear it from the source.

    Great video! I just got the Fluid A4. It was what I could reasonably afford. It is my first full suspension mountain bike. This is a serious machine at a very affordable price. You guys did such a great job!

    Thanks Norco team for sharing your knowledge. Wish I caught the live!
    One question I have is why the cables exit so close to the rear shock. I have concerns about the cables running on the stanchion.

    • @thekernel114
      @thekernel114 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      norco has sent all dealers new cable port covers which will move the cables away from the rear shock.

      Hi, thanks for this great video. I just bought the Fluid FS A2 in Melbourne Australia. The cables also seem to be touching the shock. How can I tell if it's the old or new port cover? Unfortunately the bike shop guys didn't say anything about it. Thank you.

    • @thekernel114
      @thekernel114 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ziukito2837 if the cables are rubbing on the shock body you have the old port cover, the new port cover slots are angle quite drastically.

    Looking at the bike in person its beautiful, I’m going to sell my bike and buy one soon. Don’t know why but its very difficult to get a xxl in NZ as of last week. At 6’5 I’m currently riding a XL ripmo af and with riser bars its been fine so may have to get a xl and put on 35mm risers bars.

    I would buy this if it wasn't green. Give us another neutral color option if we are spending $4k. The A2 silver is nice but it has a hideous red fork on it.......

    I would of loved to ask them why do mtb manufacturers keep changing their bikes every few years? for example in motorcycles a sports bike will have sports bike geometry, and it will always have sports bike geometry, because that's what works for sports bikes, and a cruiser will always have cruiser geometry because that's what works for cruisers, suzuki hasn't changed the geometry of their gsxr750 in about 15 years, yet a mtb manufacturer will make a new class of bike like a short travel 120mm trail bike with a middle of the road head angle of 66.5 degrees, so the bike is fun, agile and poppy, but can still handle very steep tracks, and the front end still feels responsive and good on flat corners, but then a few years later they completely change the bike by giving it 10mm more travel, making the head angle 1.5 degrees slacker, making it lower and longer and so on, so the bike is no longer a fun poppy short travel trail bike, its just a more aggressive trail bike, now so called cross country bikes are turning into short travel trail bikes, and trail bikes now have head angles of enduro bikes, suzuki doesn't make a cruiser and then change the geometry every few years to slowly turn it into a sports bike, so why do mtb manufacturers do it? is it just to try and sell more bikes?

    I have a question for Norco . Why can’t you buy a bike directly from norco without having to go through a local bike shop? I recently tried to purchase this bike through the norco website and it directed me to a bike shop and then I tried through jenson usa and they were a nightmare as well I just want a bike without having to go through hoops

    • @novamatter3432
      @novamatter3432 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Simple, some brands just don't use a consumer direct business model.

    • @marcwilliams9285
      @marcwilliams9285 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      get a grip of yourself. you don't have to go through hoops. go to your local shop and buy it or if its to far pick up the phone or email them and order it to be delivered.

      @@marcwilliams9285 not every bike shop has one in stock though and bikes aren’t super easy to just get at a shop these days, at least where I’m at. It’s a “if we don’t have it you’re waiting until next year” situation.

    If anyone at Norco knows whats on the bike, Ill be surprised. I contacted Norco about multiple parts on my 2021 Fluid Fs and they either didnt know or didnt bother to take the time to answer the questions. Seemed like they didnt give a damn after I paid for the thing, so they won't get any more money.

    I have the previous version of the norco fluid fs (2020). The engineering on that bike is a piece of crap, re. alignment, geo, and linkage design. Sadly, someone like Paul Aston did not Independently test it, so no solutions… Except to pay again in order to upgrade to a slightly less shitty bike. Live to repair sports ltd
