I bought tarpaulins for my yeti for camping in sunshine or for rain
I can attach it to the roof bars or alternatively to the back door.
Attached it with clamps and have a couple of folded up tent poles
    One tarp is 1.5 m x 2m
The other is 3 m x 3 m. This is better quality and made for shade and shelter.
If used on the side of the car, it needs to be folded in half

Wow. I never thought about doing this in my Yeti, even though I removed the rear seats five years ago when I bought it.

I tried a set up just like this but unfortunately at 175cm tall (which is not tall at all) I just don't have enough head/foot room with the base at that level. The only answer is to raise the sleeping platform to a height where the extra length from the tilted forward seats allows for 180cm sleeping length (even diagonal on the lower floor didn't work). This makes it just about impossible to sit up straight, but it does allow really good sleep - almost full double bed size. I bought the folding platform from a UK company called Simplecamper and then built in pull out drawers with flip down work surfaces which come from the back of the vehicle. I go camping to enjoy the outdoors, so I really don't feel the need to be sat inside, defeats the whole object. I do have a tarp with poles that attaches to the rear end of the roof bars and allows a decent sheltered area ouit of the back of the vehicles to sit and cook in.

Hi, this is a little off topic but can I ask how you mounted your 3 spotlights on the front? And was it easy to wire the lights? Many thanks from Australia!

I wanna buy a Yeti but the old shape is not my cup of coffee and the facelift version is still expensive. I wanna have a offroad camping machine

I agree that the facelift is really nice. However I really think the added lights to the front makes the pre facelift look very cool, very old school rally look to it. photos.kallers.se/1080h/_MK27715.jpg

I’ve not checked my own Yeti yet, but is there a way to open the rear hatch door from the inside? Only been away camping with my Yeti once so far but I took a tent ⛺️ although I did fit a DD tarpaulin on the rear so I could sit under it and cook etc with the hatch open . I need something that is easily removable as I still need my car to be a car.

I've been looking at this myself and sadly I have not found a way to do that, if you hold the button on the key the door opens a little, but you still need to press the handle on the outside to open it all the way

My camper conversion is very easy to remove! I talked more about that in my last camper video, the only thing holding it down is straps. It's 4 pieces held together with bolts so I just take a hex key and unscrew the 4 parts so it's easy to take out and store :)
I'm in the same situation where I need to be able to use it as a car, takes under 15 min to insert and take out
