I’m super happy to see both my girls are settled in safe 😀❤️❤️🐝 looking forward to seeing how they do for you and getting feedback as a new queen breeder . She’s a lucky girl to get a posh box 👍🏻

Hornsby beekeeping supplies are great! We recently grabbed a bunch of stuff from them when we visited Sydney, including your jacket - very high quality.
…good luck with the SHB and the new hive!

My Dad's name was Hornsby, first time I have ever see it used anywhere.

Love the velcro tab to keep the face netting away from your face, sadly missing on my current version.

Mate you need to put your hives on a stand about 600mm high saves your back , you can make one with Besser blocks and some treated timber with that you can spray on the ground with salt and vinegar mix this will kill off the pupae that burrow in the ground to change into a adult beetle you must keep your hives free from grass underneath so ants and other bugs don't have easy way to get into hive

Personally I wouldn't go searching for a newly introduced queen. If you find eggs that's enough you need to know. Disruption to the whole hive can lead to them killing the queen, they think she had something to do with all the carnage. You leave them undisturbed for a full brood cycle of the new queen.

Aren't you from S.A? Or is that the Bush Bee man? Since they're based in Greaterr Sydney region. I go to both of hornsby's stores and they are like warehouses! They should sponsor you to be honest.

I can only see one problem with the jacket. There's no thumb elastic on the sleeves, I prefer them.

I found the thumb tabs today. They were inside the sleeves. Oops

Dude... push your frames together for the appropriate bee space and to prevent all of that burr comb.

Dude… if you mean the honey frames it creates wider frame and more honey per frame.
If you mean the brood nest get your eyes checked. No space in my brood boxes.
