    I had to come here and comment as I’m sitting here watching this video as we speak. I don’t know exactly when I found your channel but you are one of my top ten go tos for learning how to make whatever! You have NEVER disappointed in all the videos I have watched. Actually I started watching you when I was learning how to make masks back almost five years ago! That’s when I first started learning how to sew! I went from mask making to now making quilts!!! I have to thank you for making this new hobby and journey of mine fun and informative! I’m an old bird of 52 and absolutely have fallen in love with all things sewing! And I thank you so much for making this hobby of mine so satisfying! Thank you! I’d love to have the privilege of meeting you some day! :).

    I love how you verbalize your thought processes as you go. I like hearing the logic behind design/ construction choices, even if it's something very simple.

    Um, I think you mean just one seam and a stitch (for the button).
    But it's a wonderful crafty idea to make!

      Hey Margy! So glad to hear from you. I hope you enjoy making some. I was inspired by someone else, but I loved the idea of making a sweet gift like this.

    Newbee here...I just made literally a bunch of these! I substituted the button closure tho with two snaps on either side of the loop. This way one can hang it or snap it over a bar to hang. So simple, yet so useful and cute!

      Great idea! I didn’t have a snap maker until a few months ago. Still learning how to use it.

    I love your channel & your thought process also. So many Utube videos I see have no mistakes & that is not me when I’m trying to follow along. Your method of teaching allows me to learn.
    Thanks again.

      Awesome! Do you use a button to secure them or something like velcro? I’m torn on which to do in the future.

    I got the same stove... haha.
    My mother would make the potholder into cheater glasses holder. I make them for cast iron pan holders.

    That method works best with thin towels like you used from the Dollar Tree. With better quality towels it's bulky. I cut the towel in half, fold towel and serge top. Then add your put holder.

    0:16 I made this and it matches my wall cling behind the stove. Mine's a bit different than yours!

    How did you make the button. Thank you for showing an easy project.

    • @timothytotten9409
      @timothytotten9409  ปีที่แล้ว

      I cut out a triangle from cardboard and folded fabric over it and stitched through the fabric and cardboard.

    • @janicestoodley936
      @janicestoodley936 ปีที่แล้ว

      So my question is, can the towel be machine washed & dried, because of the cardboard in the button? Very ingenious idea, by the way!

    • @timothytotten9409
      @timothytotten9409  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably, but the button would probably deteriorate over time. But I just made the button cause it didn’t have a normal one handy. Just use a standard button. Works much better.
