Usually in xenoblade, the dialogue speed isn't very good, so whenever a character is 'cutting another character off' it's more like the character is stopping in their sentence and letting the other one talk, in like a second, but this scene was great for me as pyra actually cut malos off.
I just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 two days ago I remember sobbing when Brighid opened her eyes, she cares so much for other blades it's an unforgettable scene.
This cutscene is epic, tragic, depressing, and just absolutely incredible. For me, this is where the game started getting REALLY good. Even if Jin does turn into a generic edgy anime villain for a bit there.
And the fact that it teases Pyra and Mythra's depression by her being willing to end herself right here but also that she loves Rex enough to keep herself alive and let Torna get what they want just to let Rex live AHHHH ITS SO GOOD
There are a lot of parallels between Jin and Shadow: - Both lost someone they love - Both joined the evil side after said loved one was killed - Both turned good near the end

The mighty Zekenator I see... I felt bad for Jin just only a little bit, but I still can't forgive him. Malos is the real evil bastard who needs to die. I hate him so much after what he did to poor Pyra.
San Holo well to be fair SPOILER: All of this was caused by Amalthus and is the reason why Jin and malls and torna itself is like how they are. Amalthus is the real villain in this game
I have a problem with this scene. Mythra says she needs to match light speed with light speed so she uses the particle cannon. However, when Pyra is about to commit suicide she uses the targeting ray which Pyra knows moves at the speed of light. So then why did Mythra not use the targeting ray on Jin in the first place if she knew the particle cannon did not move at the speed of light.
Late answer here: The ray moves at light speed, yes, but it seems like it needs some seconds to destroy a blade,. In these seconds Jin can move sideways. Then the instrument would have to adjust its canon. But the instrument's canon can NOT move at light speed, only the ray can . So it can only hit a stationary target like Pyra.
There are 3 problems with this scene. 1. If the targeting ray was able to shoot at the speed of light why didn't Mythra use it on Jin? 2. If Jin removed the core crystal from Rex, wouldn't that kill him since that's his life force? I know that Pneuma gives Rex her core crystal at the end because she was going to "die" but that is more I'm giving you all my life force to save you. If Jin removed it that would kill him due to the Core Core crystal essentially being Rex's life force and even if Rex did survive the core crystal isn't in one piece and if a blade's core crystal breaks they're done for and the same goes for an aegis because Malos's core crystal broke in the ending and he died. Even if Rex Lived after the core crystal was removed from him and Pyra wasn't dead from the core crystal being in pieces. At 3:47 Jin says that he was surprised that Rex was still breathing after that attack just used. Basically saying he used an attack that was supposed to kill, if Rex dies so does Pyra so if Jin's attack killed Rex Jin fucked the mission up. 3. How did torna even get on tantal if it was submerged and how did they know where they were because I believe the tantalese royal family are the only people that knew where the omega feter was.
Probably doesn't want to destroy Jin. The monoceros is capable going into the cloud sea. And Pyra is an aegis, she can survive without her crystal for a short time.
Never played Xenoblade, so here's what I think: Most hated character and some waifu are fighting Vergil The waifu turned into a different waifu And for some reason the side characters are Scottish
