    7:50 it makes perfect sense. That's why in English we say somebody (who's clearly unhappy about something) is bitter. Or in slang we also call people "salty"

    Sweetypie, the correct meaning of #Doctor in Yoruba are either #Onísègùn or #Alábę (Take note of the markings that help in accentuate the pronounciations). #Dokita is an anglisized modern translation of the word.
    By the way, you are looking extremely beautiful and glowing in this video, as usual😍😘👏🏿

    • @proverbalizer
      @proverbalizer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@efemzyekun900 hmm, so it seems it's really not native to Yorubaland even though it grows deliciously well in our tropical climate...if you're not calling it "pinapu" you're still calling it foreign/white something, lol

    • @efemzyekun900
      @efemzyekun900 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@proverbalizer it's really not a foreign fruit, but most of the foreign foods were hybrids of our own, just as our brown wollof rice is indigenous to Africa and it was from it that they created the current inferior hybrid we now see as original....but if you eat local rice, like ofada or Abakaliki rice, you will know that their white bleached rice is next to poison. "Ope" is fruit in Yoruba, why they add Oyinbo to it, shows they stole it, like every other thing they steal.

    • @proverbalizer
      @proverbalizer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@efemzyekun900 most fruit historians (if there's such a thing, lol) believe pineapples originated in the tropics of Brazil. So I guess they stole it from there and eventually brought it to Africa as they were stealing millions of humans to go work on plantations in Brazil. Then the name makes sense, unless they're trying to say white people look like pineapples, lol. On a somewhat related note, people think Banana Republic is just a clothing store / brand, but the term really comes from the fact that the U.S. and CIA have overthrown whole governments just to ensure cheap access to tropical fruits for United Fruit Company...kinda like they do now for the sake of oil

    When would you use 'lowo' instead of 'owo' when referring to money. Cause I've heard people saying "mo ti lowo" meaning they now have money...? But...would that not mean they have done (mo ti) money? I'm so confused lol!!!??

    • @DiamanteBox
      @DiamanteBox  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey girl.
      Mo ti lowo is contracted from 'Mo ti ni owo' meaning I have gotten money.
      There is no 'done' in mo ti lowo because done is 'se', i have done money would be 'mo ti se owo'
      Hope that clarifies it up!
