Sam was a comedic rock god of the highest order. RIP man, I am not sure how Sam would do in this easily offended era of our temporary insanity, but he would find a way
I saw him at Music Hall in Cincy a month after his brother died. It was an intense show that included a group of 40 protestors who bought tix, came in, sat for a long time, then approached the stage and said something to him. He verbally abused them beautifully.
Sam Kinison was a One of a Kind Comedian. He was a Traveling Preacher before he started his Comedy Career. we're just Lucky to have so much Material that He left Behind. He did some Movies and Music as well as Comedy. His singing Voice is pretty good too.
Johnny Carson was known to only invite the comedians that he liked to come and sit down to talk with him after they performed on the show, that’s why you would sometimes see new comedians just do their act and then go back behind the curtain. Sam got invited to sit and talk with Johnny the first time he was on the show, that was a huge deal. When Sam sang “Are You Lonesome Tonight” Johnny was laughing his ass off.
3 of my friends and I went to the Comedy Club in Los Angeles. Their were 5 comedians appearing that night. Each one was better than the rest, Sam Kinison was second to last. The final comedian was Robin Williams. When Sam came out on stage and did his act, he had the entire audience in stitches. People were laughing so hard, we were crying, snorting and holding are stomachs in, at the same time and couldn't stop. Each line got funnier and funnier. And then Robin Williams came out. Afterwards we all realized that Robin thought there was no way he could top what Sam had done. So, he walked out to the center of the stage with a big smile, looked around at the audience and just grabbed his schlong (like Michael Jackson). Only he didn't let go. He didn't say anything. He just kept looking from side to side with a big grin on his face holding his johnson. 3 minutes went by. Some people started to chuckle. 5 minutes later he is still grasping and smiling. Not saying a word. The laughter became contagious. Soon the entire audience was laughing harder than ever before in their lives. Some people tried not looking at him hoping to come back to their senses, but as soon as you looked up to the stage, Robin was still grinning, saying nothing and STILL squeezing his D. That was it! Half the audience was on the floor grabbing their stomachs, laughing harder than (we personally) had in our entire lives. People were begging him stop. The laughing was killing us. Crying, snorting, face and stomachs aching from laughing so hard. Unable to stop. And then suddenly, Robin looked at his watch and 15 minutes later from when he started, he just stopped, turned around and walked off stage. By the way, bartenders, waitresses, the owner, manager, - all of them were laughing so hard, none of them could do their job. Another 15 minutes went by before anyone could finally compose themselves long enough to walk out the door. It was one of the best nights of our lives!
If I remember right, Sam Kinison started as a preacher, and then became a comedian. I don't know if he left the church, or was asked to leave. He got into drinking with his fame and it almost killed him. Ironically, he had sobered up and was on his way back to LA, from Las Vegas, and was killed by a drunk driver. He had just gotten married in Vegas to the woman who helped get him straightened out.
It was not an act. Sam was crazy even in real life. He lived it to the fullest. He partied hard and did crazy things. Love this guy!!! He was soooooo funny!!!
He used to be a preacher. Comedy has a simple formula, it's putting together two things that don't belong together, incongruity. He only used his screaming to contrast something he wanted to emphasize during his calm monologue. Even without his scream it would have been funny, but the scream is the icing on the top. It's what set him apart from the comics that don't scream.
Sam and Bobcat are such parts of my youth. Both very loud, but interesting. And Back to School was hilarious. Still like to watch it sometimes. I have a soft spot for Rodney Dangerfield, plus it features a very young Robert Downey Jr.
My dad had this one and a bunch others on a vhs. Do you know the specific special this is from? It would mean alot if I can find out. Thanks for uploading this
Loved this crazy man 👍💯
Gone way too soon ... RIP Sam

He died in car accident on way to Vegas...🙏RIP🙏
Sam and Bill hicks started at the same time and same club in Houston.
One of his jokes was the woman making him crash his car into a wall.
Sadly, he died of a car accident where he ran into a wall.
I like your first intro, and when you mess with each other. It's funny. Great reaction! Too bad he died so young. A drunk driver killed him.

Brad, I would give a limb to get a red moustache the same way that you got yours. You're too lucky.
When I ask a woman what she really wants and she says "I don't know" it is a bad sign.
Please react to "The difference between a DORK and a NERD" by comedian Don McMillan. You'll laugh your ass off. 🤞✌️
Don't know what I enjoyed more. The clip reaction or the banter.
Glad to hear
Didn't know Canadia did turkey day earlier than the Southerners. Learn a new fing every day 😃🐒
It's a harvest celebration, and considering it gets colder sooner (depending how far north you go), Canada has earlier Thanksgivings than the USA.
@@djhrecordhound4391 Thank you kindly 👍
