It's refreshing to see salesmen like you. I just bought a 2009 Town car that was at a kia dealer 14 hours away from me. Everyone is kind of surprised when I tell them that, but they had an excellent salesman and manager that I worked out a deal with. WAY better to work with then any of the other places I was looking. Service really makes a difference.

I thought it was funny that when I clicked on this video that an ad came on for the Ford Escape. I really like the front on the 22 better. I noticed other brands are going with the super narrow headlights also. Thanks for the video.

I work here at Bell Road Toyota in Arizona. the new car shortage destroyed the valley and the used car market made it almost impossible to make money lol. but none the less its refreshing to see another salesman whos positive in this crazy car market. I love your videos!

Saving the micro chips for essential items maybe? That’s why they removed fog lights and garage door openers 🤷🏻♂️
The decisions on what equipment will be on a particular model are made a year or more in advance, so I doubt the chip shortage was a factor.

Hey Dave, great video! My 2018 Traverse has the start/stop engaged all the time but my 2021 Silverado has the on/off switch for that function which is great. Will Chevy be including the selector for start/stop on all its vehicles moving forward?
Honestly I subscribed because of your attitude and passion for what you do I'm not even a Chevy fan truthfully. I work in sales as well in a completely different market and always wanted to be a car salesman but maybe later in life I will give it a shot. I heard it can be hard to keep a job.

Great vid man! We got my mom a 21 back in May and she loves it. You mention no more fog lights, what are those lower slim lights? Daytime running lights?

I had a 2018 Equinox very nice vehicle smooth ride plenty of horsepower and comfortable.
I enjoy when you show the changes in the Chevy models. The RS ( RST) models are underrated. They combine performance, sportiness, good looks and power all in one. If your dealership have fleet sales, could vlogs be done on those vehicles? My Uncle used to buy vehicles for a government agency and he like the performance and durability of the Chevy and GM products ( even though the bid process sometimes unfortunately went to Ford (Found On the Road Dead) and Dodge ( Not in my Garage).

I have a 2013 equinox LT I believe it's a LT3 it has fog lights, lane assist and forward collision alert with the 2.4

The premium sound package is worth it
If they had offered a v6 in the RS model we probably would of got the equinox instead of the blazer just because of price. But we do love our blazer.

Hi enjoy your vids. I have 22 Chevy equinox LT with AWD. What is the button on console directly to the right of AWD button do? It has a P with some symbols. Can't find in manual. The electric parking brake button is on shift manual. Thx.

I'd like to see a similar trim level comparison between the 2022 Traverse and the 2021, especially since the configuration tool for it is missing from the Chevrolet website. I've seen some videos on it from the auto shows but not enough information. Thanks!

I’m really disappointed that they deleted the 2L option. I’ve driven both the 1.5 and the 2.0. In the Equinox the 1.5 is just barely capable if you’re driving by yourself, aren’t too demanding, and don’t have all wheel drive. The slightest touch of the throttle sends the Tranny down 3 gears, and the rpms to the moon. The 2L for me is (was) a mandatory option.
You are not supposed to enjoy driving these SUVs so Chevy just reminded everyone of that.

I have a 2018 Equinox 2LT with the Diesel engine as I wanted the best possible fuel economy and when it was deleted after the 2019 model I decided to keep and drive my 2018 until the wheels fall off. There is noting like the torque to get moving and 40+ MPG everyday.
Totally agree. The worthless MBAs at GM determined that only 15 percent or so of customers opted for the 2.0T, so it was dropped. It is called “rationalization” in the parlance of the clueless MBAs.

I don't understand why crossovers are so popular. When I was growing up our family had a 1961 Impala Sport Sedan in Tuxedo Black and a 1971 Impala Sport Sedan in Champagne Gold. I miss those beautiful cars.
Are you sure there aren’t fog lights on that ‘22? It looks like they are just vertical on the outside edge unless that is just a reflector. I do like the ‘22 changes. I’m sad about the 2.0L being remove however. I get it though; the majority of sales was the weak 1.5L.
Does the '22 still have the fake rear "turn signals", the old one's actual rear turn signals are doubled-up with the brake lights. There was a rumor going around that IIHS was going to start dinging a star from their safety rating for not having fully separated rear turn signals that flash amber.

I compared the specs of it with the '22 Hyundai Tucson that I'm waiting to bring home. A comparable spec'd Equinox is $6,000 more! Wow.

Probably not needed. In my lease experiences I've only done oil changes and tire rotations.

In 2021, I’m surprised anybody uses halogen lights anymore. In my opinion, LEDs/HIDs are just better all around. What are your thoughts on the differences between halogen and LED headlights Dave?

Equinox use to be a good lease vehicle as they ran for $199 a month but not anymore as lease not possible now & if you can you will pay way to much for it & they have to include OnStar service in lease.
Just want to ask you say no fog lights on the 22 model but go to Chevrolet and when you build an lt awd with certain equipment they say fog lights, why is that??
That's so funny... I just built it too and also says it has the Universal Home Remote... Either Chevy needs to update their website or actually put the options on the car..lol
IMO the bowties should be dependent on the main body color not a trim package. Grayscale-black bowties, actual color-gold bowties.

It does look very similar... I know Honda will have two full EV's that will be GM's EV platform with Honda designed bodies... should be cool.

Does the start/stop deactivation stay off when you turn it off, or does it reenable itself at start? Super annoying feature and I wish GM would kill it.

I thought this was pretty cool... I found out when someone commented about it yesterday.
Well that’s disappointing that theirs no fog lights, or you can’t have a 2.0 engine w/out upgrading to a more exspensive model!
Have they made it easier to get to the waterpump...Other years have to take to much of the car apart to get to it...which is costly...

Dude, as a major car consumer, I am sorry for the plunge! I pass by several dealership's that I have done business with in the past. Their lots are empty. I need a new truck but I cannot order one. I am not the kinna person that buys a car off the lot. But then again there is nothing on the lots! I bought a new GT 500 right before the pandemic. It took 8 months to get it after the initial order. I ordered a Camaro in January and still have not heard a word on it. I never thought that the car business would be brought to its knees. Hang in there but I don' t see a fix anytime soon. Kinna funny how in 2 weeks you will be able to order the new iPhone but cannot order a car or truck! Saw a picture of Ford pilling up Broncos waiting on parts. The dealers will be in charge of fixing these. I see many lemon laws or other lawsuits. Again, hang in there! Things cannot get any worse!
Hey Dennis, I hear you.. I'm at this dealership for 17 years... never imagined we'd be in a position like this. We are now down to 3 new cars in inventory and unfortunately for people in my area it is going to get even worse due to Ida moving through. Yesterday we had 17 insurance calls for flooded out and hydro-locked cars. People that lost their cars in this storm are going to have nothing to replace them with.

My dealer tells me there is massive difference in quality difference between ones build in Mexico and ones build in Canada. (Mexican build have a lot of quality issues). Also don't expect these engines to last past 100k miles. If you buy new, trade it in before then, a d if you're on the marked for used, stay away.
My 2019 equinox started burning a quart of oil every 1k miles after only 15k on the odo. The dealer basically called us liars and charged us for the oil that they put in and wouldn’t even try and address the root cause.

They are shutting the Silverado plant down again where I live. This car shortage isn’t getting any better.
Just got a whole lot worse in my area after Ida moved through dropping up to 12" of rain and flooding out towns... 1,000's of cars will have to be replaced, somehow.

Going to try to video this topic tomorrow... it is crazy. Our body shop had 16 hydro-locked vehicle calls this morning with insurance companies. I sold a Blazer to a guy who Silverado got flooded... i feel really bad for people who lost a vehicle in this storm.. There are literally no where near enough replacement vehicles... or rentals for the time being.
We will have same problem down here as well folks from Louisiana will be coming to Texas our lots are empty as well wonder if manufacturers can change allocations to affected markets?
Has Chevy fixed the oil consumption issue that has plagued the older models , I have a 2012 that uses oil like crazy and it has less than 100,000 miles on it , I have also put a new transfer case in it already , so it’s safe to say , I’m not real happy with Chevy products !
Yeah it does if you put a lot of miles it needs an oil change every couple months. I have to take it back by April
GM shutting down plants --- easy to pontificate from the .50 seats as to what's next...Folks like you will figure it out and get through.
