I like the idea of the compressor in the attic, but do you ever drain it, or how often do you drain it? I've always heard condensation can build up inside them causing them to rust and fail. I only use my pancake compressor occasionally, but let the air out and drain it after every use. It's accessible, but still a pain in the neck each time. Have I been too worried about it? Because I'd rather not do that and would like to just leave it charged and ready for use.

I too only have a pancake compressor and I have probably drained it once in a year and I just drain it into a bucket my compressor is hanging on a bracket so the drain valve is easily accessible but honestly it’s not something I think about very often seen at those compressors and 99 bucks and it would take it years and years to rust but now that you come in that I will drain it today good looking out

dude, great call on putting the dust collector in the attic. I work in a single car garage shop and have been looking to upgrade from shop vac/cyclone. best of luck with the channel!

I thought about doing the same thing, but I was concerned that 140F might be to much for it.
