-Cutscene before the fight: Pacman turns completely gold.
-During the actual fight: Only Pacman's body is gold while his shoes & gloves are pretty much candied red & orange, respectively.
What happened there, Namco? Ah well, this was still a great game.
Ikr? I wondered, but it stilled looked nice when I saw his boots and gloves were shiny :D
The Metal form you get in normal levels is stronger.
They don’t want to get sued by SEGA
I think it just means it helps by protecting you from Spooky’s deadly magic.
If Pac-Man didn’t have the golden skin, Spooky’s attack could of been fatal.
That’s just my theory.

Oh, right. No wonder what he really saying during my first time finish that Gamecube version of this Pac Man game as 11 year old since 2005.
Its more clear on the Xbox version
It took me so damn long to figure out this fight because I forgot the jump kick even existed. THis was like the only time you ever used that in the entire game.
I always used it for extra height.
You use it in The bear basics and blaze mountain I think it's called.
It's Blade mountain, and I think on Haunted Board walk as well
It IS essential for 100% completion.
Oh my gosh spooky is a much better villain than betrayus.

Geez this brings back memories, I remember being stuck on that one ice level where you had to skate, and asking my dad to help me on the lava levels because they were so hard, and it all led up to me being terrified by this boss and eventually kicking its ass, I tear up remembering this game, it was a significant part of my childhood, the PS1 and PS2 were my childhood and I still have my originals with all the games :)
that's exactly how it was when I was a child except I had my mom help me
xxtomzillaxx i was A child when i finish the game it was hard and easy at same time brought so many memories i wish i had still had the disk my memeories on ps2 :( i hated the ice part too lava hard hard too i like the forrest one
xxtomzillaxx my ps2, this game, and the third in the pac man world saga were my first ever video games.... i know exactly how you feel being stuck on levels, and asking my dad for help.. my console broke and my disc went missing, but I have a wii and might buy the GCN version.... 10 years later though... i still remember the music, level design, and hell, even the fact the spooky maze level was super annoying... this game is top tier
My 7 1/2 year old brother is so excited that he was able to beat Spooky by himself, on the second day he tried! He wanted me to let everyone know 😃

I never had any idea his voice sounded like this in the Gamecube version. He sounds too human in the PC version, I think I like this more demonic sounding voice better.

And Gold Pac-Man is DEFINITELY not Super Sonic.
It’s funny yet crazy that the final battle takes place where you first started. Mainly cause Spooky was going to destroy the PAC Tree as payback for killing his tree, Wormwood (Heart of Ghost Island) Also, I think the only reason PAC Man became gold was cause it helped damage Spooky. If he wasn’t gold, he probably wouldn’t have done much damage when kicking him.

This is such a stupid boss for reasons:
-If he hits you with one of the fireballs, ALL THE FIREBALLS HIT YOU
-Spooky is a goddamn FaZe clan member and has almost perfect accuracy
-This is a long battle. This dude makes it look soooooo easy

He says he can put Pac-Man in a daze, but we never actually see him do it here. Can someone tell me how it works?
If you dont hit him during the time he is vulnerable he will cast a spell on Pacman that screws up the controls and make stars appear around Pacmans head.

I just recently realized it was his staff thingy, it blended with the background a bit too well. or I just overlooked the rest of the staff below where he held it.
the volcano levels were hell, and the boss clyde was even worse! took me a month to beat that whole section
Spooky's voice here is more terrifying than the PS2 version. Makes me prefer the Gamecube version over the rest.
