  • Part 1 - Ian Burden Keyboard player and co-writer for the Human League, talks about his music career pre and post Human League days. Across the series of 3 videos, Ian talks about his sound design techniques in the days when synthesizers were for the rich, and how he experimented to create synthetic sounds. As well as anecdotal stories when the Human League were number one in the charts, Ian also talks about the products used to create the “League Sound” and moves on to the present where he has recently returned to writing and creating new music.

    What a really nice bloke Ian is. I remember seeing an interview with him in the 80s when the Human League were a top band and he came across as really genuine.

    Someone please explain this i am a league fan from day one and the synthesis band form being boiled and spit into tow groups league and heaven 17 ,,so why is he talking about later music ,, im lost please correct me being boiled is not well known as a base guitarist track

    • @Cl4rendon
      @Cl4rendon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ian is not a founding member of the League and did`nt participate in writing "Being Boiled" - He joined after the split H17 to the "new" League as a musician who played bass in his earlier career and played keys and wrote newer material with the later version of the band.
      I hope that helps.

      no sir I am not and I apologise for my remark it was meant in fun. I believe there is a classical guitarist with the same name. my name is spelled Frederic Hand as my mother is French (she just became a US citizen last year at 76 lol. ) I bought a Korg Delta years ago when everyone was getting rid of analogue stuff in favour of dx7 etc. The reason I bought it is because it was listed on the sleeve of Dare lol
