I "buy" trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. They're suited to my climate, and I've had pretty good luck with them. $10 for 6-10 trees makes it totally worth it. They are still less than three feet tall at the beginning of their 3rd year (they come twig sized) but I've got time, and didn't spend much money! And I'm supporting a good cause.
That's great! Trees planted when they are small seem to grow really fast too! Thanks for watching! 🌱🌱🌱
I've got a dozen trees I started by seed. They're tiny but I love them.
That's amazing, I love growing trees from seed! Thanks for watching! 🌱🌱🌱
"jeez everybody's out here what the hell"

I like these trends!
Thanks notoots!
Oakland County Conservation District has an annual sale where you can get yearling trees and shrubs for $5-$25. I don’t know if other Michigan counties do the same.
Love it! Thanks for the resource! 🌱🌱🌱
Great advice and love your tips!
Thanks so much! 🌱🌱🌱
I have some sedges and the rabbits seem to be “mowing” them this winter
Great tips 👍🏼
Great content! Ahh the “Legumes” have challenged me 😓✌️Amorpha canescens, leadplant, I had near 100% germination about 50 baby plants with 4-5 leaves on each, however one by one I lost them after transplanting. Same with dalea purpurea and zero germination of dalea villas. Your plants look amazing, do you use a inoculum for genus specific strains?
Dalea villosa*
I haven't used inoculum, but I didn't grow the leadplant from seed. I have successfully grown dalea purpurea but I didnt get great germination, they may have needed a boost! Thanks for watching! 🌱🌱🌱
