Top of the 7th Inning Mike Baxter makes the catch to save the no-hitter against a deep fly ball hit by Molina. Baxter started the game and had to leave after that play.
BANG! Nicely done. I was at the game sitting in the Coke Corner...I remember it was some kind of school event all sitting around us there & they were all staring at me and my buddy screaming like school girls as no-hitter got close & happened...they did not even realize what just happened. Awesome night.
mets would have a chance with a great bullpen but obviously stearns is too busy trying to be billy beane on a big market team. he wants to be known as the shitty pitcher whisperer. getting soto means nothing with this triple a staff. obviously it was stupid to spend on soto but not much more, unless soto can drive in 5 runs per game. never should have got soto if it meant this is what the pitching staff would be
I disagree...Manaea was fantastic. Senga didn't pitch last year and was an ace in 2023. Peterson had a 2.90 ERA last year. That's a tremendous front three. Holmes is a risk but if it works as a starter it's a steal. Everyone said the same thing about the 2024 rotation and they almost won a pennant (without Senga) so I'd trust him.
@ it’s quite clearer that last year’s team over performed. The Mets themselves were telling people that the team was not going to contend last season. But they still had the remnants of a team that had won 100 games two seasons earlier. So the combination of a team wanting to rebound along with a couple players who over performed, got the Mets into a wildcard spot, barely. To expect that to happen again is pretty foolish, especially when you have an owner who says he will pay whatever is necessary. As they release, they should be signing all the free agents they can if for no other reason then to turn around and trade them for more prospects and rebuild the minor leagues. Saying a a few pitchers who might possibly out perform their career numbers, seems like a pretty foolish idea given that they are not a small market team and supposedly have the money to do whatever. If money is an issue, they should never have signed Soto. They should have spread that money across four or five of the letter free agents. Soto is not gonna put up five runs per game and if he gets hurt, the mets are really in trouble. If they had fried, burnes, and snell along with Soto, they would be a lot better than this team and if not they would have 3 great pitchers who could be turned into 3 prospects each.

I would like to support the channel but you need time stamps
they are coming soon thanks for the support
Beltran was twice the Player of Ichiro so the folks who didn't vote for Beltran really need their heads examined.
well they were different players...Ichiro was a hit machine & Beltran was more power...Beltran will get in next year...the scandal has delayed it
