As we get ready to experience the 2024 Winter NAMM Show, take a moment to revisit the 2023 NAMM Show. Bass Gear Magazine's Sean Fairchild takes us on a trip down (recent) memory lane.
In 1980 I was fortunate to attend NAMM with one of Rick James keyboard players (good for preferred treatment). I was 30 years old he was a couple of years younger. It looks like the same people are here this year. Geezers like me. The only change is more female bass players (cool). Also can anybody still play finger style or with a pick or is it just when you pick up a bass in public it's an unwritten rule that you just have to slap and pop.

Nobody can afford those Dingwalls,.....there are far cheaper and better options than a Dingwall.
