I’ve had so many questions about my jersey I decided to make a video about it. My old Jimmy G jersey was size 44 but I felt like it was too baggy.
Here is a Nike size chart that may help you:
Chest size : 37.5 - 41 / size 40 or a Men’s Medium
41 - 44 / size 44 or Large
44 - 48.5 / size 48 or XL
48.5 - 53.5 53.5 - / size 52 or XXL
53.5. - 58 / size 56 or 3XL
58 - 63 / size 60 or 4XL
The jersey here is the Nike Men’s Kittle Scarlet 49ers Alternate Vapor Elite (94 throwbacks) for the 2021/2022 season. I have it in a size 40, here are my measurements: 5’7 175 lbs, my chest is 38 and my waist is 34 inches.
My jersey has been tailored on both sleeves in the elastic bands. I think the standard size is 16 or 18 inches long, but I had the tailor switch it to a smaller 13 inch band, for a tighter fit.
*also note this version does NOT come with the 49ers 75th anniversary patch. For some reason Nike only put those patches on the screen printed versions-“Vapor Limited”, “Player Game”, etc.

At the 2:40 mark I’m comparing the collars in the 2014 Nike Vapor LIMITED in a size SMALL* (which is not Nikes Top of the line jersey back then) the Nike LIMITED was the $150 option with hard-stitched letters but very loose sleeves. I had my jersey cut and added elastic bands back then
I have 2 Nike Elite Jerseys ($369) and I only wear them when its cold outside with a long sleeve shirt underneath it because they are uncomfortable to wear when is hot outside. Remember that the players wear these Jerseys with the shoulder pads and padded hi performance Nike shirts. Now, my go to jersey is the Vapor Limited ($160) they are way comfortable in hot days. They fit like a regular T-shirt and they still have patches but not as thick as the Elite and the material is Dri-Fit too and very comfortable. I owned a lot of Jerseys and the Elites are a must have but the Vapors are nice too.
We're same measurements. I have two 40s and two 44's. The 44's are just a bit too big. The 40 is form fitting and I don't wear hoodies under. Id rather it be snug than too big. Nice review. Dallas fan here. See y'all soon!

I was in your boat and I tried on a 44 and it’s solid . The neck cut is super deep but it’s still a W , I wish I can put on a 40 but the person I know only has 44

I had mines done in San Francisco at a small tailor shop on San Bruno Ave in Bayview. But they closed due to Covid. I had another jersey done in San Mateo, called Debbie’s Dry Cleaners

Question, normally I wear small on the limited jersey and it fits just fine. If i buy a size 40 on the elite would that be a bigger fit? Im 5'5 around 125 skinny build.
Yes I think they may be a little bit big, especially since the collar is wide. But this is Nike’s smallest size, if you could tailor the sleeves to match your arms like I did it would help

Do you feel that the Nike swoosh on the arms are not centered? One is closer to front and other to back?
They are centered, it probably looks off because I am moving my arms throughout the video

Measure your arms, specifically around your bicep. My arms are only 15 inch and the sleeve/cuffs were measure 16inch when tight and 18 inches when stretched (If that makes sense ).
So I had the tailor use a tighter band so the sleeves hug my arms more and she used a 13 inch band.
If you have those Apollo Creed biceps I believe you should be good to go when you buy the jersey straight from the factory!

I would suggest a 40 for a tighter fit, but the length of the jersey may be a little short for you. We’re about the same weight but your taller so the jersey may end up a higher around your waist.
44 will give you more length but those sleeves and collar will very loose.

For your height it may be a little long, but you can always have a tailor sew it to the length you prefer

No, Untouchable has longer sleeves and the fit is more relaxed

Depending on your arm size, 44 would give you more room. The 40 may be a little snug for you

We weigh the same but you’re taller. The size 40 won’t be too tight at all but the collar will be very wide already. Size 44 was way too big for me and the collar was way too wide. Try a size 40 first if you can

less than $40 but pricing depends on your local tailor
How loose were the original elastic cuffs? I have a 48 and the cuffs are a little big. How Much did it cost to have them customized?
The size 40 cuffs were pretty loose for me. I took my jersey to a local dry cleaning/alteration shop and it only cost $25

It comes with the band’s automatically, I went to a tailor shop and had them sew in a tighter band tho

These are the jerseys they were on the field, this is what they start out with. I know because I buy jerseys for my JUCO Jersey. I have the Nike football order catalog and basically what you get with the Nike elite jersey is the start receiving jersey, most people have their most players have them tailored from that on a lineman jersey would be totally different but they still have to have a starting template and that’s what this is. Just a little knowledge for you. That’s why they’re so expensive. And that’s what it cost a jersey every time he gives one away. The 40 whiners…. we still on you🦅💯
