Nobody can be this good at making music, and yet… here we are. I feel like like I’m listening to this soundtrack for the first time even though I listened through it countless times during this last decade. It's beautiful, it’s written like no other piece of music I've ever heard in my life. The melodies are intertwined and replying to each other, it’s like a dance between two different elements, fire and ice, past and present, the Moon and Petrichor V. They're all so different and yet, they have so much in common. It's haunting me when I think about how perfect this is put together, literally sends chills down my spine. I feel like I could take on the world and do whatever I want when I listen to this soundtrack. I am not the person I was when I first played Risk of Rain back in 2013. Coming back to it in 2023 made me realise how much my life has changed, and somehow some things stayed the same. Listening to this soundtrack has been one of the few things that haven't changed. And I am so grateful for it. Thank you Chris for all that you've done. You have literally helped me through tough - and sometimes even tougher - times (pun intended). I can't wait to see what comes next. …and his music was electric.
I remember playing risk of rain back in 2013 and I was just stunned by your music it suits really well with the game and also timeless quality, I keep listening to all of your music on Spotify on my way to work and I purchased all your vinyl albums including the returns version.❤
i really don't know why but i have an obsession with just walking around this map as loader just the way about his big several ton arms oscillate to the beat, i love it
0:57 - 1:11, specifically 1:08 where the melody doesnt change but the chords/bass do so it changes the entire feel... is there a musical term for this so i can find more songs that do this specific thing?
It doesn't have a name, it's just a device used in music since forever. But I guess most music at this point is just a couple of loops so it has become a bit rare in the mainstream. If you listen to literally any orchestral music, or perhaps prog rock and other, more elaborate genres (even a bit more involved pop), you will find it everywhere.
Madness: The area with friendly jumps, environmental pain, radiant realms, twisted inquisition, intense solar chaos, dispersed rooms, flustering sections, and niflheim, to reach this place, you will have to go through strategic mechanics and impossible movement, but after that, you will know about the scythe recognition here and why this place will suffer a depressing future...
What synth plugin are you using to play the arpeggiating bass? I have heard it in your other tracks and tried to emulate it, but I can't get it right. A breakdown of this piece would be INCREDIBLE!

Rain World pfp...
I don’t just hear the music, I FEEL the music. The layers come together so beautifully I want to cry…
i like how you didnt completely change the songs, you just expanded on them with more refinement and instruments in some places
No additions or omissions, just a new master from the original mixes.
I’ve seen so many of these comments on this album, and all of them get proven wrong so quickly
@@timberdoodle7657 because it's a remaster.

Easily my favorite song on the entire soundtrack. This song penetrates my soul in ways I can't describe. It's just so beautiful.
Chris, thank you for your work. It means a lot to me.
I like how the chris included a remaster of the game with the remaster of the soundtrack. So nice of him. :)

I love how the song keeps modulating upwards and upwards, makes the song feel so unique.
Probably my favorite song on the album, and absolutely amazing to hear remastered.

This track is underrated as hell, good stuff
Ah, my favorite track from the first game. Always feels like an endless cycle of death and destruction
Best song in the album
something cool about this stage is that sometimes you can see the contact light’s crash in the horizon
best song
anybody notice the monsters are slowly moving closer to commando?
“His vision works off of movement… just go really slow and he won’t see us”

Still my favorite.
