This singer is brilliant... screams his lungs out and soon as the song is over... just looks as if nothing ever happened.
He does a good job of covering the other singers' styles.
I concur
Man’s singing Alice In Chains and AC/DC like their songs were written for him.
He doesnt rip off the original yet he sounds so good!
He's singing 10 seconds at a time at a very controlled output. Singing entire songs with long, connected phrases, chorus', verses are actually where the challenge is
Man, if I had a room like yours I would literally never go outside
Same
Plus the skill to use all that equipment and friends to jam with...
My room isnt even 1% as cool as Rick's, and I already never leave..
i always think it
Really, how many times have you seen him outside his studio? Like 2-3 clips sitting in a lawn chair?
I would give #2 to Queen too with We are the champions, both of their anthems are the most famous
No dout. I´ve the same opinion. It´s like 2 in ONE Long live to "The Queen"
id put 1 as seven nation army, surprised I haven't seen anyone mention it yet
Also Bohemian Rhapsody, the video of fans singing it at Green Day concert gave me goosebumps.
I honestly thought that was gonna be number one but I don't blame Rick for putting We Will Rock You on number one instead
This guy has some incredible range. Almost no breaks on the high notes. That takes talent!
ok this dude can sing everything.
Dude has some pipes for sure!!
@Philip Betts uk song writer and performer ok?
Reminds me of Stevie Winwood
Annoying AF IMO
Yeah, and with ease apparently...
We should start a band.
We did haha!
Rick Beato
Please do a covers band gig 🙏
Of course, we should start a band!! What's it gonna be called?
yes please
Ya think?!? ;-)
Baba O’riley was the first song I thought of. To me, it defines what a rock anthem is. Simple, bombastic, and youthful. Maybe it’s the big dramatic crashing cymbals, the piano pounding out the opening chords, or the way the intro builds into the iconic verses. It’s hard to put it in words, but it’s just got that undeniable anthemic quality to it.
Damn, Rick you actually made me feel good for the first time in days. You guys did total justice to these tunes. Let us all know your tour dates
I agree with you...I would go to a concert of this guys!
The guy doing the singing can really wail. He’s great as a lead singer. Unique voice
Yeah Jason is great!!
Where's his channel or IG tho??? Great voice
Wow, I was thinking, “it’s nice Steve Gutenberg found a second career.”
he's a goofball and i love it
He is SO great!! What’s his name???
Serious props to Jason Tillery for his outstanding range.
great Dobie Grey imitation
I loved their version of Man in the Box !
Wow, really, really good.
crazy impressive
Looks like DSB almost did him in...
I'm normally twitchy about singers - the one doing the songs here is phenomenal. I like how he did the songs his own way but also hit the original tone and intent of the songs. Great job!
One of the most enjoyable of all Rick's "Top 20" themes - really cheered me up and made my evening.
Great to see Rick and friends enjoying themselves together. 10/10
Agreed--I may like this approach better than snippets from the actual artists
The best part of this is just watching 4 talented buddies having fun.
"We Will Rock You" is clearly #1 on any rock anthems list. But, you could tell due to the simplicity of the song they were nonchalant about playing it.
Sean Necker I think it’s 5, don’t forget the drummer
This could be retitled as, "Top 20 hated songs by karaoke hosts."
True lol
But when karaoke host hear a voice like that, they usually crawl in shame in a corner.
@@mathieugagnon3230 I don't follow, why might they do that?
Or "The top 20 songs dads like to play".
@@saml1939 because they hear it every night
And it's usually done poorly.
Glad to see Bon Jovi finally get some credit. Livin on a Prayer is still played at sports games all over the world. A true anthem
finally get some credit, are you silly??, Bon Jovi is one of the most overrated bands ever
Too bad their song is used for the sake of the sport not the sake of the song itself
@user-mx5ey4xj9r quite literally one of the most popular bands of their time, still are widely known and for a reason. But obviously we'll take user-mx5ey4xj9r's opinion on it
Blaze of Glory was their best one - splendid tune!
We all need to take a moment and acknowledge the awesome talent of Jason's. Wow. Also I really appreciate the fact that they went to the trouble of playing all of these songs themselves.
Anthem- Europe The Final Countdown
Survivor-Eye of theTiger
dewdew34 totally agree. They should have been 1 & 2 followed by Boston more than a feeling!
If he would have picked either of those 2 cheesefests, I would have unsubscribed.
OMGWTFLOL doesn’t matter if you like ‘em bro by definition they’re rock anthems! He put the cheesefest living on a prayer on it. The list is garbage...free fallin, sweet home Alabama 🤣 not even close to rock anthems, not even rock!
Eye of the tiger 100000000%
life is life too
everybody gangsta till rick pulls out the upright bass
I'm going to let the word "gangsta" remain with that angry genre that rhymes low brow juvenile words. They play instruments on this channel
@@johnconway6976 you mean rap? You can't be serious? Wtf kinda elitist bs is that?...
@@johnconway6976 I bet I could guess your favorite number
This made me laugh. Good game.
@@johnconway6976 You gotta be trolling.
Good choices for rock anthems. I would suggest a few more for the list:
Dancing in the Dark or Born in the USA, Bruce Springsteen
Summer of 69, Bryan Adams
Carry On, CSNY
Insanely good vocal. It suited so well to all those songs. Very impressive.
"How many instruments do you play?"
Rick: "Yes"
“This song is over 13 minutes long and has 5 Guitar Solos”
Pink Floyd: *Laughs In Echoes and Dogs*

Great list! I would add Another Brick in the Wall, Bohemian Rhapsody, Freebird, Fear of the dark...
Right! I missed "Another brick in the wall" too!!
Another Brick in the Wall should've pushed the Tom Petty song out. I was surprised Bohemian Rhapsody didn't make the list...
The dude singing is crazy good. sounds like every vocalist he was covering!
Rick: posts a video
TH-cam: “We Will We Will Block you”
Clever
Did this happen?
Queens are notorious for copyright claiming
Ha ha ha!
That was actually really witty
I think first place would be a split between “We Will Rock You” AND “We Are The Champions”
Totally agree. UMG being their usual dick selves claiming on this.
I was thinking the same thing while watching this.
People say it is subjective...they are wrong. You are correct.
Great list of songs, and good job on the performance.
i 100% disagree. i can recognize that the songs are well written, but freddie mercury ruins queen
Patrick McPheeters Runs Queen ... fixed that for you. :)
Rick is just having a good ol’ time in his fancy studio and we’re along for the ride. I Think he’s a genius.
I loved Jason's expression after singing Don't Stop Believin'. 😁 He's amazing!
Sh*t, this singer is f***ing awesome, his voice's so powerful and unique
Nailed the Pearl Jam song, sounds just like Eddie
...and he hung in there through these sessions. The guys can play as long as they have energy. The voice has limited ability and endurance by comparison. The fact that he did a good version of Perry and Mercury just lends credibility to Beato"s work.
Okay... not hating or judging but I felt like these songs deserved a better singer. I wasn't going to say anything until I saw these comments. He is good in his own right so dont think im bashing or anything because i know this was just a list and he couldn't exactly pull an A list singer. I know for sure the video could have been better with someone else.
I thought so too. Being able to jump into the middle of a song and pretty much nail it isn't easy. Singing these songs requires putting at least a little emotion into your voice and I was impressed with how he could turn it on and off at will.
Auto tuned wedding singer nothing more. Would have rather heard nails down a chalk board
We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You are the two biggest anthems. They have been a sporting event default go-tos for decades now.
We are the Champions is clearly #1. No question about it.
Hehe, used to be "Rock 'n Roll" by Gary Glitter.
I think biggest athem is stairway to heaven
@@krzeslo1620 Try playing that during the time-out 😂
They have just become "cringy" being ovrplayed at events IMO.
Still love the songs tho
Had to be Queen, and they also have another, We Are the Champions.
Some others I would mention are:
Judas Priest - Take On All the World
Thin Lizzy - Boys Are Back in Town
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
Status Quo , - Caroline.
Great video, and your man there has a great voice 👍👍
Jason absolutely NAILED all these! Great video! I've watched it half a dozen times.
We are the Champions is THE DEFINITION of an anthem. How could it possibly not be there?
I know, when he started to talk about the no.1 i thought straight away of that song especially when he said about it being played at sporting events but nope he picked the wrong one.
I fuckin hate it, it's too overplayed
@@petisebestyen88 Wild guess, but I think that's because it's anthemic.
@@petisebestyen88 That doesn't make it any less of a rock anthem
Possibly because it's a difficult song to sing.
This singer is incredibly versatile, very talented.
I was about to say exactly that !
This band is epic 😎 the singer is mint every song is on point whats his name
and flat
@@dank1j he didn't ask but ok
Technically, the singer is talented and has good range, BUT the overall tone and sound of his voice is annoyingly unappealing. I almost stopped watching/listening. It turned me off that badly!
Thank you so much, Rick! It was a great pleasure ❤ Especially the final We will rock you 🎉🎉🎉
Drift Away is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in my life. I love the message of the song, and it's just a feel good song for when you're going through a rough time. Perfect choice for this list!
Rick: I'm making a top 20 rock anthems
Queen: Hold my Greatest Hits albums
:D :D :D Ha! Good one.
I was 100% sure that #1 was going to be We Are The Champions
@@eskilseter "We Are The Champions" might be a Ballad and not an Anthem.
Well played, Sir :)
Not really an anthem
The dude on vocals kills it everytime
Agree
He's really knocking it out of the park with every song. Considering how diverse this list is, dude is incredibly versatile.
"Dream On" was the theme tune of my junior/senior prom ! I'll never forget such a magical night.
You’re lucky that they had good music when you were growing up
Where have you been all my life. Smiled through this whole video. Thank you.
Rick you probably will never read this but I have been watching your channel for a very long time, what can I say your the bollocks lots of love from Blighty (that’s England) by the way, keep doing what you do brother! A few years ago I had a series of strokes which affected my speech and memory, your channel has helped me regain so many of those previously lost memories, thank you!
Thanks Mark!!

No Guns, no party, Btw this dude who is singing is absolutely outstanding.
Bozex sucks that they block everything... probably because of Axl, lol
I like this singer as well. I wish Journey would have asked him to b their lead singer rather than Arnel Pinea!
@@angelinadigrazzia5401 lol....did you see his face when he was done? He can certainly sing a lot of stuff...but I think that was a bit out of his comfort range...I doubt he would want to do an entire Journey set. If he did, he'd need about a week to recover his voice.
That was a fun video Rick. So much talent in that studio with you! ( You included)
I am very curious as to why Twisted Sister's "We're not going to take it" did not fit the criteria for 'Rock Anthems'
One of my favorites-Cheap Trick “Surrender”-“mommy’s all right, daddy’s all right, they just seem a little weird”
The live version, of course. :)
Yes. Geez. How is that not on this video. The definition of an anthem
'Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away.' I'd also include Dream Police, but not sure if it classifies as an anthem.
Here is Rick Beato’s list:
#20- “I Love Rock N’ Roll” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
#19- “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake
#18- “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd
#17- “Cum On Feel the Noize” by Quiet Riot
#16- “Alive” by Pearl Jam
#15- “Rock and Roll All Nite” by Kiss
#14- “Do You Feel Like We Do” by Peter Frampton
#13- “Free Fallin’” by Tom Petty
#12- “It’s Only Rock’N’Roll” by The Rolling Stones
#11- “Dream On” by Aerosmith
#10- “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray
#9- “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leopard
#8- “Pride (In the Name of Love)” by U2
#7- “Panama” by Van Halen
#6- “Man In the Box” by Alice In Chains
#5- “Enter Sandman” by Metallica
#4 -“Livin’ on A Prayer” by Bon Jovi
#3- “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey
#2- “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC
#1- “We Will Rock You” by Queen
Also, can you make a “That’s What Makes This Song Great” on Santana sometime in the future?
Where is paradise city ?
Agreed about older Santana, he was on fire in the 60's 70's and into the 80's but he's been soul-dead for a couple decades.
BluesLicks101 Supernatural was a great comeback album though
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts*
Wilander Xavier He mentioned at the end why he doesn’t do GnR in his videos.
Rick and your gus look to be having soooo much fun...... Lived it. Getting the string bass out :)
I know it's an oldie, but I love this video. You guys clearly put a lot of work in to this, but look like you were having fun at the same time. Awesome content Rick.
The guitar parts on "We will rock you" truly slayed!!
We will Rock you was is from 1977 ,,,,, What can i say ,,, The 70s were ROCKN ,, Tons of great bands and songs came out in my youth years But now im a Christian and my likes have changed , ,Jesus Christ ROCKS now ,,,
*Ad interrupts them singing "We Will Rock You."*
Really, TH-cam?
I guess that's the reason why Google trashed that "Don't be evil" passus.
Actually he’s the in charge of where it’s placed he’s just not in charge of what goes there
I obviously don't know what web browser you use, but just to say, it astounds me that I still to this day see comments like this on youtube pages lamenting the ads, when I've never had to deal with that. Mozilla Firefox has the "AdBlockPlus" free plugin, I've had this for what must be at least a decade now, I've literally never had to experience an ad. And I know it's relatively popular, but I'm surprised it's not even way more well known than it is. Though even with other browsers, I'd be shocked if they didn't at least have something similar in their arsenal, a way to combat them. I've then even been bummed with some videos I've put up on my own channel and others complain about an ad (or more) in them, but that I had nothing to do with that as the uploader whatsoever.
Granted, when it comes to other certain particular websites, more have in the last few years gotten to where the site won't let you view more than the very top of it if you have an ad blocker, but if it's something I want to see bad enough I just do the "white list" thing on an individual basis (I've got probably less than 10 sites I've done that with), but TH-cam's never done that. I've never not been able to see something leaving the plug-in activated.
Same reaction
SERIOUSLY. WTF YT???
I knew you could not leave off "We Will Rock You". Queen- my all time favorite! Thank you!
Awesome list Rick! Your vocalist did a great job! 60 yrs old, and listening to Rock since I was 5!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
“More than a feeling“ should also be in the list imho.
I was surprised that is wasn't included, given Rick's love for Boston. Too hard to sing for it to be included, perhaps?
We will rock you #1 and We are the Champions??????
or longtime, maybe both lol - they are both in my top ten driving around burning one songs
Was thinking the same thing - should really have been in the Top 5.
More than a Feeling should be on EVERY list.
That guy can sing his ass off. That rendition of 'man in the box' was killer.
Considering that Layne Staley didn't want to sing when they put the band together I consider the fact that the band pushed him to sing was the absolute best "putting a band together" decision of all time.
Came to say the same thing. Guy really killed every song
And he's a sweater vest away from looking like my kid's English teacher
Oh wow. NEVER stop doing these videos!!
Makes me smile everywhere! I am 70 and these all make me feel young again!!!
seeing a 70 yo using that pfp made my day! 😆
I really thought #1 would be Queen’s We Are The Champions, turns out I got close. Amazing, impressive performance from all you guys
Great ones! Just a few I miss: "All right now", "Smoke on the water", "Hey Jude", "Born to be wild", "We're an American band" and "Rock you like a hurricane".
Hey jude rock?
“We’re an American band” is possibly the most American rock n roll song ever made
"Rock you like a hurricane" was the first song that came to mind
@@sukhchainsingh1776 It includes an electric guitar and it was made by a rock band so I think it’s included
Were an American band would have been perfect.....Im gonna have to go listen to it now.....
Great choices! Couple that I thought of too are “Summer of 69”, “Crazy Train”, and “Baba O’Reilly”
@@iliketrains3495 Its only teenage wasteland .. Hmm
I was thinking a Who song too, but yeah there’s really no hook to sing along to in Baba O’Reilly.
Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't have a Who song on the list.
For The Who, how about "We Won't Get Fooled Again" ???
WMR Photography my generation
Love it Rick - you are awesome. So good to hear Pride in the top 10!
Absolutely love it - covers night not bring the views in but I loved watching you guys jam - looked like so much fun and sounded great!
Maybe I'm too old for this crowd, but "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf and "School's Out" by Alice Cooper would've been in my top 20.
Are you older than Rick? (1962) :)
Schools out is mint
I don't know about Leo, but I sure am, and I second his list - and add "Bad to the Bone". (1950)

I'm on song #10, all the while thinking ... what about Queen "we will rock you"? 1982 best live show of my life, and I've been to a lot of shows. 1st show, Jackson 5, Tower of power and Sly and the family stone. Kansas city 1972ish...lol
I get that Gn'R aren't friendly to this stuff, but Paradise City is the definition of "rock anthem". It absolutely deserves mentioning at least.
Definitely more than Sweet Child oh Mine which I'm appalled they even mentioned. I'm so sick of that song being overplayed. And I actually don't like that opening riff. Paradise City is a much better song and I felt it was the best song on the album when it was first released (before they even became famous).
Ditto.
I say we just bury GnR in the back yard and never mention them again.
Yes...absolutely
Without a doubt, it is the definition of a rock anthem.
just listened to "pour some sugar on me" for the first time and i think your performance sounds ten times better!
Rick, Great Job! This has to be my favorite top 20.
When you say rock anthem, I think of only one song: We Will Rock You. Undeniable.
I think we will rock you is the greatest song of all time because of the way it brings people together
THE Problem is, for this list.. QUEEN are Blockers...
Absolutely! Freddie is the standard by which all other lead singers are measured. His charisma and command of the audience are still unmatched. His stage presence is still wowing new generations.

What if the four of you and Jack Jones put together a rick beato channel house band to record covers and originals!?
Rick's House.
@@darrelstevens9707 Yes! That was immediately what came to my mind. I loved every minute of Live from Daryl's House so if Rick can come up with a way of doing live cover without running afoul of TH-cam and the musicians of the song then that will be awesome. The "what makes this song great" where they do a live cover at the end of the segment.
That’d be awesome actually
You mean Jack Jones that sang the love boat theme?
@@darrelstevens9707 with Rick and the Beatos
Actually, the moment sporting events were mentioned I realised that, even though there aren't really singable chorus lyrics, Seven Nation Army is one hell of an anthem. I'd personally go as far as to put it alongside, or at least a close second to We Will Rock You. The singbility of that melody and the drive Seven Nation Army has is fascinating, at least to me.
Personally, I've heard seven nation army a hell of a lot more in sporting events in comparison to we will rock you, and I think you're right, it's at least on the same level of not better than we will rock you
Also we are the champions but i guess only 1 song per band.
Came on to comment this very same thing... Seven Nation Army should have been top 10, if not top 5 or #1.
Exactly, once he started talking about sporting events I was 100% sure it's gonna be Seven Nation Army, We Will Rock You didn't even cross my mind, honestly.
I thought it was gonna be We are the champions... but then I watch a lot of f1
This was so much fun. Great job.
Would've liked to see a few more '70s hits on the list, notably ...
Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple ;
We're An American Band- Grand Funk Railroad ; &
Taking Care Of Business- Bachman Turner Overdrive.
Also, I would have had "Gimme Shelter" as my Rolling Stones song (though that is a bit hard to sing).
"Gimme Shelter" is my favorite Stones song.
By the stones it should be either Doom and Gloom or Sympathy for the Devil.
Some omissions that definitely raised an eyebrow for me:
Boston - More Than A Feeling
The Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane
Kansas - Carry On My Wayward Son
Also, some other songs that deserve mention:
Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business
The Guess Who - American Woman
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Dire Straits - Money For Nothing
The Police - Message In A Bottle
I’m not sure message in a bottle is really a sing along Anthem?
Trooper- We're here for a Good Time
AC/DC Thunderstruck
I'd add Heat of the Moment by Asia.
Matteo Gian ew, but also, you’re right
Your singer nailed all of it -- especially Pearl Jam. Wow! Talented guy.
That was my thought. I would like to hear him sing the whole song.
Yes
With the amount of reverb on that Mike anyone could sound good
Yeah, he has a very Eddie Vedder-ish voice.
Great playing! And you guys look like you had a blast doing it!
Jason Tillery! I was impressed his spectacular range and went to say so, only to find comment after comment offering up the same compliment. Great work.
First, just wanted y'all to know that y'alls “Drift Away” was killer. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Thanks.
Second, funny story. The local kid checked out the book _Dino-Basketball_ from the library this week. In it, during the halftime show, the carnivorous dinosaurs sing ”We will, we will, chomp you!” I took the opportunity to teach her the cadence and stomp-stomp-clap. So when we were watching together, and it got to No. 1, I knew what it would be and started stomp-stomp-clapping. The grin on her face when y'all were doing it too really made my day, so thanks for that too.
Finally, I gotta say, I think Boston got robbed on this one. How is The Ultimate Song - “More Than a Feeling” - not one of the Top 20 Rock Anthems?
I loved that song and forgot it... used to play Drift Away a lot in the 70's. I think i still have the song book it was in.
That "Drift Away" was actually Beyond Killer. That upright bass just gave me the chills! Just WOW!
True dat. He killed it.
Same here. Gave me goosebumps.
I was waiting for it the whole time! lol. I'm like "here comes boston!...nope...
Fantastic covers guys!
My additions:
Queen - We Are The Champions
Simple Minds - Alive And Kicking and Don't You Forget About Me
Guns 'n Roses - Welcome To The Jungle (blockers, I know ;) )
Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me - YES good one!
@@robgraham5016 Saw them live three times in Amsterdam, one time the song lasted fifteen minutes because of the crowd singing along endlessly. The band loved it! :D
@@r3furbish3dbrain12 So did Brian Ferry. Well: their loss. One of the biggest anthems of the 80s if you ask me and I'm glad Simple Minds did it, whether they were the writers or not; I'm interested in the performing, not the writing. Lots of famous bands performed songs that they didn't write themselves; hell: probably more than half of the biggest hits in history haven't been written by the performers themselves.
I can understand their reluctance though, saying they only wanted to play material that they'd written themselves. If that's your thing as a band, it's your thing. Simple as that.
It just shows how mistaken even the biggest musicians can get.
Great minds think alike with Simple Minds. I also put Ghostdancing on my list from them.
Agreed!
What a well made video. Kudos Rick!
You guys are… AWESOME! 🙌 More!!!
Twist and Shout, Satisfaction, Highway To Hell, Radar Love, My Generation, Whole Lotta Love, Alright Now, Paranoid, Wonderwall, She Sells Sanctuary, School's Out, Layla, Purple Haze, Seven Nation Army.

I feel like "We are the Champions" also should have been somewhere in the list.
We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions should go together, always.
Seriously.. Peter frickin Frampton over THAT? Come on Rick...
i was waiting for Start Me Up. it is played at all kinds of sporting events....which also begs the question....where is Crazy Train?
@@arthurias7693 Those two songs are fused. You put one on the list they are both there. So YES, Peter Frickin Frampton!
@@kilgoretrout3966 Crazy train definitely should had been there.
I love that everyone is having a great time playing these anthems!
I am not surprised by Drift Away. It is in many of my play lists. Great list. I don't love all of the songs, but they are all worthy. I could watch you guys play covers all day.
The singer could comfortably cover for any rock frontman ever and still sound right
The trooper - Smoke on the water - Seven nation army - White room - Satisfaction - Freebird
I dont know about Seven Nation Army. Everyone knows the tune, but only a fraction knows the title, let alone the lyrics
@@michalszerszen9638 There are no lyrics. It's just the bassline that's the anthem. Oh, oh oh-oh-oh ohhh, ohhh.
I love Rick but h3 always has to throw in that bullshit Grunge CRAP.
Tom Cass I respect you and Ricks choice in music But is it is of my opinion that grunge hip-hop and rap have destroyed music and has lowered the bar for musicianship which would include people that can actually sing. Case in point, I have friends in mind that I love dearly, however, when I was in bands with them back in the day we wouldn’t even let them sing back up let alone leads. Now they are the lead singers in their own band the bar has sadly been lowered and trust me their vocal abilities have not improved one bit
Tom Cass Musicianship as a whole is horrible I completely disagree with you, however no Neil Young is a horrible singer, however I don’t think anybody has ever stated that he’s a great singer and you do make a very strong point about bar bands yes it is very hard to find a good singer. I have been a lead singer and guitarist for 40 years and I have toured with some very well-known artists in my career I’m not saying that I’m in authority but I still stand by my statement that musicianship is dead. I’ve played with younger players and they lack a lot of vital tools thanks to TH-cam, tableture and digital technology. Nowadays you can sit in your room all by yourself with ProTools etc. never play with a band in your life and put together some type of a demo album playing with a band and other musicians as an art form it is a skill unto itself. People make fun of hairbands all the time but some of the best melodic shred masters came out of that era
Ya'll were really having fun with the #1 spot. I love it!
Just sayin' One of the best videos I've watched on your channel. This is the bomb!
Holy crap Jason is good! He holds his own on every one of those songs!
I thought the same!!
Agreed, only real stretch imo was Steve Perry..would be for almost anyone..
Came to the comments and to find this exact comment! Couldn’t agree more. Dude rocks🤘🏻
Whoever he is, that guy is one hell of a singer to do all of those particular songs.
Not only does ACDC "You Shook Me All Night Long" have a supremely singable chorus, it also has one oc the greatest lines in rock......"she told me to come but I was already there"..........pure rock and roll.
Man, that Jason Tillery is one hell of a singer. These guys would make a killer band. Theres so much knowledge and experience there that Im sure they could blow a lot of other bands out of the water. That singer though...
Totally agree. In absolute awe. What a voice - even on Man in a Box which is a real tough one. 🤘
Tillery was killing it. Absolutely nailed „Pride“ - made Bono raise an eyebrow ;)
Have you guys never heard a singer before? He sounds like a blues singer, maybe. His style fits this music in no way shape or form! You like that raspy phlegm chain smoker voice? He looks like a Moishe Feldstein trying to be Billie Gibbons in la grange. So artificial- it’s important to play music of your own culture not just appropriate others. Horrible tone, he is in tune but so what? Is that all that matters??? Annoying the crap out of me- he needs to go cough up some loogies. Actually he is a little flat the whims time, but you need really good pitch to catch it. Terrible!!!
He has a promising career on the Nashville barmitzvah circuit- that’s it! I bet you my right leg he advertises this lol
He would be AWESOME in Hell’s Bells ACDC… lots of overtones appearing in his high notes WOWEEEEE
I want the beato band too!
I'd actually consider "Another brick in the wall" as top 20 material in this category.
Exactly! See my same reply!
Comfortably numb would be a better pick . Lighters out an everything .
edmundscycles1 Noo ABITW is much better as a singalong, the ”We don’t need no education” is much easier to sing and arguably more iconic too.
I really can't stand pink floyd, but I do have to agree with you. That was for sure a huge anthem.
Roberth Pascal - I would too but then I am terribly Pink Floyd biased so they’d probably be in slots 20 to 1. I can see why it’s not in Rick B’s list but I probably would have had it in mine.
This is fun! Thank you
All of you are absolutely awesome performers. The singer is absolutely incredible. I can see there's nothing he can't sing.
“We Are The Champions", "Hey Jude", "Living After Midnight", "Carry On My Wayward Son", "I still haven't found what i'm looking for", "Crazy Nights", "Rock and Roll Radio", "Smells like teen spirit", "Born to Be my Baby", "Al you need is love"...
Hey Jude and We Are The Champions should be Top 2
"Hey Jude" is the one I thought was the inexcusable absence. Everybody sings along with that because you don't need to know any words.
That looks a lot more like my list than Ricks does
Al You Need is Love?
Hey Jude, We Are the Champions, I agree. Is Good Vibrations a Rock Anthem or something else?
