I love how quick and easy is this method of application I’ve been playing with Amazon packing paper for a few months. My daughter thought I was nuts, but then I showed her various artists who had similar ideas and told her I was in good company!!
I have 2 bags, one Kraft paper color and the other buff. It will be fun to smoosh metallic paint here and there once I get those little hills and valleys from wrinkling them. The idea of splattering will certainly add to the look. TFS this tute, Joie! Craft on. 🎨

I worked in a prison for years and we had no color or beauty around us at all gray, taupe, beige. Asphalt. Cement. We weren’t allowed to have color in our offices on the walls or anywhere just our computer screens. That beautiful Amazon paper started my crafting journey in 2017. My daughter bought a TV stand that was delivered. As she's bundling it all (5 or so feet of it) to put it in recycle, I am looking at it and I say 'wait! I want it. I'm going to create a journal with it.' And so I make junk journals constantly! I have always loved paper and books. Now I am making mine.

Wonderful idea, I happen to have the metallic paints and when I first received them I thought oh my what will I paint ( so shimmery). I'm going to have so much fun as I love brown crunchy package paper hahaha. TFS
Love-love-love this! I don't have an acrylic block, yet a gift card without lots of pressure, gets the gold paint distributed. I don't have paint brushes, however I picked up 3 silicone basting brushes at Dollar Tree (if the paint dries on it, there's no hard cleanup. The paint just melts away, or crumbles off). Thin out the paint with water, but not too much. Dip this basting brush into the paint putting paint only on the tips. Splats easier with less of the paint going everywhere (I admit, I was guilty of constantly splatting the PC screen!). I bet if you turn the brush at an angle, you'll achieve individual dots. "Give it a go!" I've gotta say, I appreciate you very-very much, Joie! TY.👏👏

I use to feel the same about collaging then I saw Cori And Gale do it in an organized way and all of a sudden I loved it. I am ready to try it in a unorganized way know. Hello Joie, I had such fun with this, ran out of Amazon packing paper and then went on to envelopes. I created a junk journal cover for a teenager who felt alone and wanted to journal. I love the finished effect, wish I could add a photo.

I once did that technique using different brown inks spread across the creases and when the paint or distress inks were dry painted the brown paper with Pantene hair conditioner. Once that has dried it has a leather feel and effect to the paper

Hello Joie, I had such fun with this, ran out of Amazon packing paper and then went on to envelopes. I created a junk journal cover for a teenager who felt alone and wanted to journal. I love the finished effect, wish I could add a photo.

I once did that technique using different brown inks spread across the creases and when the paint or distress inks were dry painted the brown paper with Pantene hair conditioner. Once that has dried it has a leather feel and effect to the paper
