Wow Keith!!! You made 100,000 subscribers!! I really love your videos... I can remember watching the one in which you made the TH-cam play button because you didn’t think you’d make it to 100k. I’m so glad you’ll be able to add the one they send you to your collection...but I do like your version better. Congratulations!!
Thanks for the inspiration and visual aid! We are at home in quarantine and I did the same. Tomorrow the children will paint. I wish you 36 and 6! Greetings from Ukraine!
Been watching your vids for a while now and your use of Sketchup has stuck in the back of my mind. So much so that I'm using it to design a fitted wardrobe I plan to build, and it's working out great. Thanks
Hi mate, inspirational stuff. I have a regular supply of pallet wood from a buisness of Kitchen fitters by my house. I think I will take some ideas from your video to construct some houses, for the birds. I have a lot of them in my garden. They live inside the Clematis in next doors garden also. Thanks and good luck with all you do. It is greatly appreciated to watch your content. Have a great weekend, Lee.
I like your birdhouse design. There are thousands of birdhouse designs. I have even seen one made using a real cowboy boot. The birds given the right hole size and facing direction aren't picky about design and it sounds as if you did a great job of researching for yours. I hope you enjoy yours for a long long time:-)
Another touch you could add is a metal ring around the hole to stop it from being opened up by other birds, especailly birds wanting to predate on the egg and then the chicks. Great Video. I have used gravel boards to build nest boxes with. Even old Walking boots, with a wooder back and pitched roof.
I love to make bird houses, according to the guidelines of how to I had to put something on the inside for when little ones are ready to learn how to fly to be able to climb up to the hole. If there is nothing to grip they die inside the house.

No worries about the boxes - those little palaces will suit the birds perfectly. If you see them repainting with a different shade of green - then you can take it as worthy criticism! Dylan was asking you to make a cat ladder so he can introduce himself to the new neighbours!!
They don’t need that. That is unnecessary. They don’t have pitched in the wild so they don’t need one in a nest box. It only makes it’s easier for predators to get in. Remember, birds do have wings
They look cool Keith but why didn’t you stick down the felt with a can of glue spray or some battens on the front and back edges or something? The waters going to get under there and the wind will make quick work of tearing that felt. No offence meant, I like all your stuff including this but particularly your workshop fitting which is epic.
Duck tape is better for stopping the leaks when you mask off with tape and paint but would have required the wood to be sealed with something like shellac or varnish.
I thought they looked a bit odd - only because they don't have some dowl sticking out as small perches - two or three 1/4 inch dowls about 2-3 inches in length may not be that bad to have on the front and they're better to go on before you get any nesting going on. Maybe shorter if you only want tits there. You should also do your duty and think about the wide variety of jokes about the 'joy of looking at all the fabulous tits in your garden' etc.
I don't think perches are necessary, they always seem to get in and out just fine, and some say they create a bit of a risk of predators like Stephen T👍
Cheers Jacob! I've read that perches create a bit of a risk for predators/invaders... Plus they always seem to get in and out ok on them I've made in the past without perches 👍
I think they are lovely and the important is that the birds are visiting those birdhouses !!!!
Hi Dylan! He must enjoy watching the birds flitting around, good on you for providing shelter for birds as well as entertainment for the cat :)
We have sun birds where we live and it’s nice watching them build their own hanging nests on our washing line every so often.

They look really great Keith! The cartoony elements work too. You certainly shouldn't be disappointed with the results
Nearly forgot about the little birds in my garden till i watched this video. Thanks for the free plans 🙂👍🏼
my friend. very nice. thank you so much. be happy. bravo
Any time you can make something for your Mom is a good day. I wish I could still...Great job.
😥
Simple and effective and the birds have made home in no time. Great video mate
If you make a really big one, you can attract ostriches.
😂😂😂
Definitely want to try and make some bird houses, I'll add it to my list. Hello Dylan 😺
Lovely video Keith! and Great looking bird houses :) Thank you for sharing them with us.👌👍😎JP

If you use pallet wood make sure to seal it somehow on the inside, the wood is pressure treated and toxic to chicks!
My one gets used annually it’s great seeing the birds coming and going while feeding the chicks
nice House thanks for the free plains !!!
Hi. Brother your video is beautiful
Congratulations at reaching 100K. Keep up the good work.
Nice Job my friend - This will be a nice little project for me and my grandkids - Thanks for the link xx
This channel is going to the birds! :) I hope you keep us updated on the occupancy of the bird boxes.

The birds will love this, nicely done.
Love this Keith, made bird boxes in the past. Time for a couple more 👍

Good job Keith!
Great build Keith. I love these kind of builds. Keep it up. Top channel
Very nice, we have Cockatoo’s landing in our backyard & they can be a nuisance to the other smaller feeders, nice project 🍻👍
Congrats on reaching 100k subs. Awesome job👏👏👏👏
This was way better then the sandra Bullock movie lol , Awesome as always!
Congrats on 100 k subs welldone you deserve it
Bird house is nearly ready and fresh bird food arriving @5:03, that is if Keith doesn't kill it. Nice work.
Ha ha I just did exactly this with masking tape. In the end I found routing the grove then filling it in with tipex pen worked best. Great project.
I love to make bird houses, according to the guidelines of how to I had to put something on the inside for when little ones are ready to learn how to fly to be able to climb up to the hole. If there is nothing to grip they die inside the house.
That is false. It will help them but they won’t die without it.
Congrats on 100k!
You probably should put wood pegs under the entrances as a perch for the birds to alight upon.
The birds don't need a perch, and they apparently increase the risk of predators getting access to the chicks
That's a great looking bird box and thank you for the plans. How about a small perch below the entrance to aid entrance and exit?
Thanks. The birds don't need a perch, and they apparently increase the risk of predators getting access to the chicks
Birds came, that`s only thing that count, hope they will nest in your boxes. I assume Dylan will be happy also xD
You did a starling job 😊👍
I think puns make people look like a Tit 👍🏻😁
Pat C reading the comments section today has been thoroughly enjoyable. What a lark! 🙃👍
😂😂😂
I might have to start robin all these puns for the next bird related vid
Rag 'n' Bone Brown oh cool Keith, will it include dovetails? 😊👍
Nice boxes, but I hope your marine ply is better than the stuff I've had - delaminated after a couple of weeks outdoors. I'd use solid wood myself.

Nice House making sir, What kind of sheet did u use protecting from rain, please tell that name sir.
No worries about the boxes - those little palaces will suit the birds perfectly. If you see them repainting with a different shade of green - then you can take it as worthy criticism! Dylan was asking you to make a cat ladder so he can introduce himself to the new neighbours!!
😂
Nice build, mate. 👍🏽
They look good. 👌🏽
Had you thought about adding a dowel perch just below the hole? 🤔
Thabk you! The birds don't need a perch, and they apparently increase the risk of predators getting access to the chicks
Tell Dylan "Hello," from Louisiana, U.S.A.
He says meow
You have a great channel. Keep up the good work!
great little build Keith, will the cat not get the birds though
Hello Dylan!
What about a perch for getting in and out? Good job by the way.
They don’t need that. That is unnecessary. They don’t have pitched in the wild so they don’t need one in a nest box. It only makes it’s easier for predators to get in. Remember, birds do have wings
Would a piece of plywood doubled up be strong enough for a roof.?
cool
They look cool Keith but why didn’t you stick down the felt with a can of glue spray or some battens on the front and back edges or something? The waters going to get under there and the wind will make quick work of tearing that felt.
No offence meant, I like all your stuff including this but particularly your workshop fitting which is epic.
I don't think it will tear in the wind, it's heavy duty stuff. If water gets in I might epoxy it down, will keep an eye on it
Rag 'n' Bone Brown no worries.
Duck tape is better for stopping the leaks when you mask off with tape and paint but would have required the wood to be sealed with something like shellac or varnish.

Patrick de paris than you 🐥🐥🐥🗼🗼🗼👍👏👏👏
I wonder if the previous owners had a birds nest once? The birds seem to have taken to your boxes quite quickly!
Nice work. Any reason for NOT including perches just below the entrance holes?
You never add a perch to a nesting box as it allows larger birds somewhere to land and have an easy lunch of fresh oven ready chicks.
I don't think perches are necessary, they always seem to get in and out just fine, and some say they create a bit of a risk of predators like Stephen T👍
@@RagnBoneBrown I'm not a predator.
Keith: Where is your makers branding iron from?
What kind of birds are there?
We've had blue tits, blackbirds, starlings, and even a yellow hammer in the garden so far
Have you Dado Blades in the UK ?!
Not commonly
👏👏👏👍👍👍
Nice video Keith although after watching the blue tits exploring the bird house I'm curious why you decided not to include a perching post?
Cheers Jacob! I've read that perches create a bit of a risk for predators/invaders... Plus they always seem to get in and out ok on them I've made in the past without perches 👍
How come you didn't felt then put the hardwood trim on?
Because I wanted the felt to overlap the trim to prevent water ingress
What happened to the spider?
Which spider?
@@RagnBoneBrown Was there more than 1?
I need two nest. But I m in India
sorry, had to chase my cat Annie from my chest so I could say Hello to Dylan.
