We had the opportunity to sit down and chop it up with Rhymesayers newest signee, Sa-Roc, also joined by her long time DJ/Producer Sol Messiah. Since appearing on to the hip-hop scene in 2008, Sa-Roc she has worked diligently to secure her place amongst the legends in her field. Sharing the stage with Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Common, Jay Electronica and more, has not only served to broaden her ever growing fan base but speaks to the caliber of skill that Sa-Roc consistently delivers. She has recently partnered with the legendary label Rhymesayers, and seeks to broaden that fan base even further.

The Islands you really like to copy and paste
The Islands is she a phony or do you disagree? Maybe she prefers being critiqued by a credible person and enjoys doing music her way. She is probably sick of hearing negative comments, which her other videos are full of them. Not speaking for her, but maybe she was having a rough day or another similar event sparked it.

Whether you are credible is for her to decide, and obviously it seems like you are not. The fact that you are whining about it to a point that is obnoxious is discrediting. Maybe she likes the way she makes her art and she doesn't want to sound like everyone else. Honestly, would just brush it off, but you seem to have a passion to write her off numerous times. Why are you so aggravated at a heated response and a block on Twitter? So what? So she has great lyrics, but a phony because she didn't respect your opinion or respond in a way you would have liked? This was an incredible interview. I really enjoyed it. Sa-Roc's and DJ Sol Messiah's views made some great points (especially the point about how trailblazing artist were on major labels and that's why we remember them). Great conversation by all.

Wow I just heard of her today and it is April 2019. i am now a fan! Very talented, refreshing, raw & honest, and beatuful. "Forever" was played today 5 times straight and will be listening to her in my office at work.
I had to come back to this video to say thank you for introducing me to Sa-Roc. She is a phenomenal artist and was a truly kind person to talk to at her show.

Glorie Mpaka "DWNR" is what "Drive North" is from the project overall is pretty solid.
The "Charlie Brwn" EP before that is also pretty good with tons of Jazzy production. The MF Doom project "MF Dem" is a bit hit and miss for people. Basically you'll like it if you aren't overly familiar with the Doom beats he uses on the project, people that have heard those beats a lot don't like it as much.
